Big 12 thread

Oh and @ralphiewvu , I could only imagine your blood pressure reaching the limits last weekend. The choices Brown made vs Texas still baffles me today.

You can’t have the ball inside your opponents 10 and get only 13 points. You can’t do that and expect to win.

and for them to continue and try running the ball.. They had a better chance throwing some short throws.. granted there were some really bad drops

Our quarterback is God awful throwing anything past 7 yards. I blame him.

It's tough to really crap on ou since they are back to blowing out teams. I know the biggest test will be next weekend for Bedlam. This is the worst ou team since the Belldozer led team.. and here they are on the upswing for not just another CCG game but for another Big 12 title smh..

OU is not the team we were pre TT game. The return of Perkins has made our D line as formidable as it has been in well over a decade. The depth is the key. We are 2 to 3 deep so can keep fresh bodies in the box. This has taken a lot of pressure off our not so strong D cover backs, as the opposition has to get rid of the ball quickly or be buried by multiple bodies. On the other side of the ball, Stevenson has given us a run game back. He's averaging 8 ypc and has 5 TD's with only 24 touches. OU is successful when we're a run first team. Sure, we've been blessed with great talent at WR/TE's through the years, but it all starts on the ground. Rattler grew up quite a bit when pulled from the RRR game. Since then he has 1 turnover. His target environment just keeps getting deeper with the return of Hazelwood and Bridges.

I think we beat ISU and definitely KSU if we play them now. Don't see anybody in the B12 beating us. However, still need some things to happen to get to the B12 CG. One is another KSU loss(they are not the same w/o Thompson). The other is a Bedlam win. The final piece of the puzzle is for OU to not derp it vs BU or WV.

The B12 picture has been dynamic as the season has progressed. At this point, I'd put OU and ISU at the top, followed closely by UT and OSU. Then WV, KSU. Next level, TCU, TT & BU. And the annual catfish, KU. Not much on the B12 schedule today. BU at TT and TCU at WV. Either BU or TT will get a 2nd win and WV or TCU will get a 4th win and join the upper half of the B12.

ZERO chance you derp it in Morgantown.

Yeah, they def have improved and none of these teams are CFP caliber teams, however if osu runs the rest of the schedule and wins the CCG, they are definitely in. But this has been a fun season overall to watch unfold. Baylor almost came with the upset last week, and it feels like an upset is always ready to happen. Last week felt like a playoff game between wv and UT knowing they couldn't afford another loss if they wanted to still contend for the CCG. KSU and ISU next week is also big with KSU already having two losses, they have to beat ISU next weekend to keep the CCG alive. Then the following week UT plays ISU as well.. Going to be a fun finish

Man.. How the fuck did Texas lose to the fucking frogs.. Just saw the highlights.. Well atleast this coach will fix that for us.. 20201114_173851.jpg

TCU is painful to watch. They are the type of team that can really be a pain in the ass or it'll be an easy game.

Gameday coming to Norman for Bedlam next week. Nothing like beating little brother on national tv. The State of Oklahoma should have all 3 schools ranked tomorrow which is cool.

Odd conclusion. Tech essentially matched their highest yards per total vs OU. Next game was Kansas, so you can’t say much.

Tech defense has given up 200+ yards in 4 of their last 5 games and 3 straight. Kansas is Kansas. Just the week before OU, they gave up a 248 yards and 7.37 per. OU maybe improving, but hard to look at the last to opponents and make that conclusion

i think the chances of a loss their are more like 20%. WV is that spoiler team in the Big 12 this year. If you don’t play well vs them it will be a tight game. OU can’t come into that game thinking ahead

OU played backups in the 2nd half of the last two games and yet still put up 62 each game. Held TT to 28(14 of that put up in trash time at end of 4th with OU backups), while UT had to go to OT and gave up 56. OU also tcob with TCU, and UT....well. OU is by no means great, but we have shown improvement in all aspects of the game in the past few weeks. Will know a bit more after Bedlam next week. I didn't feel too confident earlier in the season, but I feel OU can run the table vs OSU, BU and WV. Were I a UT fan, I don't think I'd feel quite as confident with ISU and KSU still on my schedule.

I simply posted the facts. Not sure how Texas played vs Tech figures into that, but whatever makes you feel better. I was simply talking a little football and OU. Glad to see Texas is on your mind.

My bet: we kick the shit out of you and then the season ends because of COVID. That would be the most OSU thing ever.

1st tie-breaker is records of 3 or more team will be compared against eachother in a mini round robin..

That means Texas and OU are in if they win out based on 2-1 records, while ISU and OSU would both have 1-2 records
