Big East Basketball

Also, lost in all this Marquette/BE resume talk

Providence lost to Rhode Island today. What a time to be alive.

Did their job and beat a big12 team for the league. Now I can instantly go back to laughing at their pain.

Not a bad loss (think it could be Q1) just a missed opportunity.

Oh yeah Im not laughing at it being bad

I just love watching them lose.

Just an insane fan base and joke of an arena.

Oh yeah, that's what I figured. Lmao. I'll raise you your Providence and give you my Wisconsin. Haha.

Ohhhh I hate Wisconsin way more. I despise everything about them. Prov is just annoying and done nothing to earn it.

Not sure Ive ever truly given a fuck about a college football game in my life. Its why Ive always enjoyed Oregon, they are just fun to watch.

But anytime badgers football loses. I find myself in an instant nirvana.

For basketball it's Wisky. For football it's USC. These last 2 football seasons have been great! Lmao.

Haha I forget you are a Dame fan. Yeah that's gotta be fantastic. USC is in such a purgatory while ND is always consistent at least

After Pete Carroll left, football life has been much better. Lol.

Just crazy.

Big balls stuff that everyone said we had to hit the portal and get a PG. And Shaka knew he had his guy.

The bottom of this league is going to be god awful...

By bottom do you mean Seton Hall?

They are in a horrendous class of their own

I think you should have six wins against SH, DePaul, Gtown if you want to get in the tourney

Uconns demise was a little premature

Uconns demise was a little premature

Letting guys like Tre Johnson and Tyrese Hunter carve them up one on one, something that didn't happen last year with Newton and Castle.

They're coming along tho

Good read on Ross and why losing Kolek hasn't hurt us the way some expected. Because while we have had to change our offense and have Kam move into that role with other guys taking on the Kam role

35 minutes of Ross defensively compared to TK(as much as I love him) makes up for it all.

X blows another for the league

Just brutal down the stretch

Weve got to be better composed down the stretch on the road(its becoming an issue) and namely Kam has got to make his fucking free throws(been a 4 year issue for him) but legit those refs need to be reprimanded.

The shitty thing is everyone casually watching is going to say X got screwed on the final play with Chase foot accidentally hitting Xaiver

But that entire second half, MU scored at will and on the other end down 10-15 pts X just sat and shot free throws. FOUR times Hummel and the play by play guy go "oh no, that was all ball". Twice the refs stopped MU on offense to blow a whistle. 1 time it was because X bench was acting like baboons. We stop play, they pick off the inbound and go the other way. Just insane officiating.

End of the day, we won. 2-0 in league play. First time in like a decade. As good as we've done under Shaka, we have never stared 2-0

Ive been gone actually missed most of the Dayton game. Bad 2nd half after letting Dayton keep it close on the glass in 1st half

Butler game was the reverse. Couldn't make shit, but abused them on the glass and dominated the 2nd half.

Ben Gold vs High Majors(plus Dayton). 8 of our 13 games(and all we play going forward obviously)

50% Fg
45% 3pt
9.1 PPG

Not sure what it is about it, but the trend is keeping up. Gold shoots better vs better comp. Something to keep monitoring. He's been very helpful this year as a stretch big with very solid D. Just would like to see a few more 2 pt looks a game(it'll never be a lot)

Letting them get to the basket at the end of the game wasn't a great strategy, but it didn't kill them

Kalkbrenner plays like Yao Ming against Villanova and everybody else he plays like he's 5'6".
