Big Ten Basketball

2 UNC players molest our player out of bounds. No foul of course. Joke game. The CBS announcers creaming themselves that UNC is going to win is just making me ever more pissed

The kind of game that ruins sports for a bit for me. UNC was allowed to do whatever they wanted in the last like 7 minutes.

Turning point when Bacot knocked a ball loose, one of our players got ahead of him to get it, Bacot LITERALLY stiff arms our player to the ground and they call the foul on our player lol. The announcers excuses this away as “when you are the aggressor on a steal you’re gonna get that call” laughing my fucking ass off….so going for a steal now gives you the right to tackle a opposing player and get rewarded for it?

The of course UNC hits a miracle shot at the buzzer to force OT and UNC is continued to allow to rape and pillage and wins.

Nothing starts of holiday break better than getting blown out at home as a 32.5 pt favorite vs a 3-9 team

Thanks Iowa

ITs cool though. We were only ahead 20-4 4 minutes into the game

And then get outscored by 30 the rest of the way

Eastern Illinois is probably the best 3-9 team ever really.... lol

Holy crap giving up 92 points to EIU is very very bad. They are 354th in KenPoms adjusted offense rankings.

They looked awful when we played them. Only scored 43 and shot like 25% from the field.

This is the kind of loss that could keep Iowa out of the tourney if they happen to end up being one of the final teams on the block.

EIU became the first underdog of 30 or more points to win outright in the past 30 seasons, according to ESPN Stats and Information research. Before Eastern Illinois' upset of the Hawkeyes, underdogs of 30 or more points were 0-558 over the past 30 seasons.

Gophers no longer have the worst loss in the league! 😃
yes, but now you have to eat crow for this post:
Honestly, that's what's separating the B10 and Big 12 from the rest of the conferences. B10 is by no means great at the top(outside Purdue atm), but the league just doesn't have any bad losses. The league has only ONE Q4 loss and it my shitty team to DePaul. By comparison the SEC just picked up 2 in one night. The ACC and P12 both have a shit load. Hell Louisville and Cal have 5 and 4 respectively. Drake is decent, and I think they'll probably win the MVC, so this could stay a Q2 loss for Miss State this season, not great, but certainly not as bad as A&M and Ole Miss losses were.
perfect timing, lmao

Lmao. I like @rmilia1, but its nice not to have this honor, because we're probably going winless in league play. And when we lose by double digits to Iowa it will only make us look worse than we already are.

We're not going 0 fer in b1g play

If it makes you feel better -- Iowa set a record. They achieved something no other team in the last 558 games where a team was favored by 30 or more could do. That isn't easy.

Before Eastern Illinois' upset of the Hawkeyes, underdogs of 30 or more points were 0-558 over the past 30 seasons

We're pretty fucking bad. If we don't beat Nebraska in a couple of weeks, it doesn't look good. And even then, they'll probably be favored by like 4/5.

I didn't watch(thankfully), but the Gophers beat Chicago State by 3. We fucking suck ass. To think I thought we might be an NIT type of team at the beginning of the year. Lol at my dumbass.

Fuck lol Chicago State has only won 20 games total since 2017-2018

Ben Johnson was a weird hire

We suck. There's been a lot of awful B1G teams in my life, and this season's Gophers team might be the worst of them all. I always go back to the 09 IU team that was just dreadful and they finished 209 at KenPom. We're currently 196.

And awful. Hired an assistant at a school that didn't make the NCAAT during his tenure, and that school makes it just about every fucking season. He interviewed for the NIU job, didn't get it, and a couple weeks later we hired him. He's waaaaaaay in over his head. The hot start last year masked a lot of things. It's been hideous this year. If you thought Manning was bad, you haven't see anything yet. Lol.

EIU beat Iowa?

I would laugh but Illinois is getting man handled right now against Missouri

I don’t know man, there were some truly bad PSU teams in the late 90’s and the early 2000’s. (Not including that 2000/2001 year)
