Big Ten Basketball

The deal they got though was a standard group ticket rate. And they are still a non profit that raises money for charity and got donations. They go to games all the time. The reason why the Krush are not absolved is because they decided to pose as a Boys and Girls club. But Iowa was petty as fuck pulling back the tickets. Now a bunch of donations have to be refunded.

Basically it was within Iowas right to do it with their tickets. But it was a really lame move to make a situation out of something that should have been nothing.
Why would domains be refunded? If you're a charity then you donate the money. Ultimately Iowa made good on the tickets to the B&G club. If OK washed to Steve the game as a group there was no need to lie about it. Using been to nearly a dozen vIowa Illinois games in IC i can promise you the Krush has never been denied tickets

They're always there marching the concourse chanting their chants

Ohio State is comically awful, it's basically unwatchable.

I can't ever recall one of our hoops teams falling off a cliff like this one did. They looked pretty good until January.

Michigan remains above .500... for now.

Fuck Iowa lol
Classy.....

Two days after saying Iowa officials had canceled 200 tickets it had purchased for Saturday's matchup between Iowa and Illinois in Iowa City because the school was "fearful," an Illinois fan group admitted that it had lied to get the tickets at a discount.

After the Orange Krush posted a statement Wednesday that accused Iowa officials of rescinding 200 tickets for Saturday's game because it "refused to face the consequences" of the sale, a statement from the school said the group had purchased the tickets at a discount by falsely claiming it had bought them for a local chapter of the Boys & Girls Club.

On Friday, the Illinois fan group apologized and admitted that it had lied to get the tickets, verifying the school's account of the purchase and subsequent decision to cancel the tickets.

"In planning the Orange Krush road trip, we misrepresented ourselves as another active charitable organization, which exercised poor judgment," the group's statement said. "This was our mistake and for that we are truly sorry. We also should have never placed blame on the Iowa ticket office and [athletic director Gary Barta] or called them out for canceling the tickets. Protection of their home court is, and should be, their priority."

I pasted an article from ESPN

Iowa fans and coaches losing their mind at this game.

Full melt!!

The kids from the boys and girls club saw a crazy game

Took Illinois +2.5. Win/Win

2-12 in the B1G makes me lmao.

Worst Gophers team in my life. Thank God we pulled off a couple close wins OOC or we'd basically be Louisville. St. Thomas would probably beat our ass this season. Evans better be the next Ewing, or we're gonna suck again next season.

Heres a weird stat

In B10 play Iowa is 7-0 vs teams who are tied or better than them in the league loss column

They are 0-5 vs teams with a worse league record than them

That's just because of the ridiculous parity in the league, and the fact that one game separates 3rd place and 27th place.

Would you guys explain "KenPom" to me. I guess I'm old and just don't get it. Ohio State is close to the cellar in the B1G and are 35th. Texas Tech is dead last in the Big 12 and is in the top 70. Why are those two (and some others) still that high?

KenPom puts more of an emphasis on overall efficiency and thus ends up being a pretty good predictive model. So if a team has a lot of close losses to quality teams, they may not be rated as low as you might think if you're looking at their record. Half of Ohio State's losses are by 5 points or less.

Thanks. So “quality losses” receive their due in this system. Do teams then lose credit for wins against crappy teams? If so, I like this system because it seems to be an incentive for teams to schedule better.
