Big Ten Basketball

Indiana fans need to get together and start a GoFundMe to pay me not to watch their games

They're 13-4

Ive watched them 4 times

And they've gotten absolutely decimated in all 4 ( Louisville, Gonzaga, Nebraska, Iowa )

Like just destroyed on all 4

If i didn't knew they were 13-4 and you just asked me what their record was based on the 4 games I've seen i would've guessed 3-14 lol

Impressive OSU/PSU road sweep for Oregon. Ties Auburn for the most Q1 wins.

Mick Cronin can have fun hating his team, in the NIT

Man. And then they have to fly all the back across the country. Brutal. UCLA wil cash the checks and take the L's.

yeah, gotta wonder about dudes like Cronin. He signed up to play in the Pac-12, not playing in New Jersey on a Monday night during conference season.

and the Pac-12's absence is a big dark cloud over college basketball. i barely noticed they were gone during football season, but it's hitting different in basketball.

Yeah, this whole thing is dumb. It really hit me Saturday when we had games all day long, and after Bama played Texas A&M on ESPN at 8:00, it was followed up by UCF @ Arizona. Like WTF. Even if it's like Washington at Arizona, it's still 1000% better.

It'll really hit hard during champ week when I'm forced to watch the Big West and Big Sky on ESPN+ to get my late night fix.

Cincy still hasn't made the NCAAT since he left

Damn. Good find. Lmao.

Yeah, not only have they not made it, they haven't been all that close if we're being honest. I guess they were a 2 seed in the NIT last year, but like 4 teams ahead of them dropped out. So they were probably about 8-10 teams from making it.

Odds are great this year either. No Q1 wins and have already lost 2 home games in league play.

It was easy because I remember trench mob/ickey shuffle being retarded on every topic, but he was in top form when it came to Cronin. He wanted old ass Pitino (right after he was fired because he hired strippers for teenagers) to replace Cronin, lmao.

And the "I can always root for Syracuse" part is icing on the cake, lmfao. Syracuse has been horrible since that post, too. He's a jinx.

I vaguely remember him. I remember one year Cincy was like ranked #7 or something in the AP poll and I had them as like a 6 or 7 seed and caught shit for it. That was prior to what you referenced, so something broke him lmao.

And yeah, Cuse has been horrible since 2019. Lmao.

Edit*. Maybe I was getting him confused with the Kramer guy. Just remember a Cincy homer getting on me

What's your take on Iowa right now @ericd7633 ? Kind of a weird resume

NET is mid ( 43 )

No Q1 wins ( 0- 4 )

But 5-0 in Q2 with no bad losses

ITs an odd resume. Usually teams have good wins and bad losses so you kind of have to balance them lol

Cincy has been maybe the most disappointing team in the country.

Metric darling coming in. Most had them top 20. They moved to top 15 beating no one.

They have flopped in most of their games vs teams with a pulse. In big trouble

I honestly think they're right at the cutline right now. They have great predictive metrics (avg 37.3) and resume metrics (avg 40), relative to the lack of marquee wins, so those would suggest they might slip into Dayton if the tournament started today. They're right in the middle in terms of teams who made Dayton last year. Colorado and UVA had slightly higher resume metrics, but Iowa's are slightly better than Boise State and Colorado State's were last season. Their predictive metrics are better than all but Colorado. They have a pretty advantageous schedule getting a good bit of ranked teams at home, and some winnable games on the road. They will have to get at least one true road win because I don't think a team has ever made it as an at large without having at least one.

If I had to guess, I'd say they'll likely be a bubble team all season. They might be hurt by a relatively avg Non Con OOC, but it's not like it's in the 300's or anything. So I actually don't think that will come into play if it's close.

Yeah, them and Texas Tech are the metric darlings this year, relative to their lack of good wins. Tech has won at BYU and Utah, but neither of them are tournament teams and Utah won't be a Q1 much longer. They both played terrible Non Con OOC's so if it's close, I don't expect either to make it.

I try to keep it simple for the Big 10 middle of the pack teams (of which there are many).

Win your 'winnable' home games which are the majority, hope for a couple road wins, and get to 20 wins.

Other than seeding, everybody starts from scratch come tourney time.

Yeah I’ll never understand teams scheduling. And in the super conference era I think it’s even dumber to schedule like a dumbass

If you wanna schedule a bunch of 330ish teams and shit pump them for metrics. Sure.

But you gotta have 5-6 of your non con be Q1/Q2 games.

Otherwise you give yourself no room for error in super conference play where everyone is playing a gauntlet and separation in resume is tougher.

if that scheduling doesn’t leave ya out, it’ll screw your seed at least.

Where as you win 3 good non con games. Now you are allowed to go 8-12 in SEC/Big12 type leagues.

Yeah, Tech has notoriously scheduled like crap for a while now. Same with a team like Iowa State (up until this year).

And yeah, I agree. There's no room for error. Those teams this year are like Georgetown, MD, Penn State, Cincy, Texas Tech, and Vandy to name a few. Q4 games are essentially worthless in the eyes of the committee unless you lose one. Having 7+ Q4 wins is a detriment to a resume.

Ok im only watching the first half of the Indiana game to see if it really is just me doing this

Lol

Idk how Woodson survives this.

They are not just losing to all the teams with a pulse they play. They are getting absolutely eviscerated. On home and neutral floors
