I never thought we'd make it all the way back to force OT. It's just not something we've shown as a program to be clutch. Carr is so much better than last year, and Johnson is a really nice piece. Maybe getting blown the fuck out against Illinois was a good thing. Completely different team since then. Might even crack the top 25.
 
If Seth Towns gets going like this that's a game changer for OSU

It’s Christmas man. These kids have to be about worn/burnt out especially with Covid. Can’t just go through the motions but it happens every year

Illinois just played the worst half I’ve seen them play all year in that first half.
 
Ask my Rams about going through the motions last week against the Jets :L
 
Illinois with 2 first halves this week that were ridiculous but pulled off W’s. Tough week to get thru for sure


Indiana isn’t good but they definitely brought the fight. You can tell their coach is on the hot seat

Jesus they just might be. They look awful. Best thing they did for the league was go undefeated in OOC play. Also, as a Gophers fan, that felt fucking awesome. MSU has owned our ass forever.

And they've already taken L's to two of the perceived worst teams in the league. Their next 5 are as easy as a stretch as you can possibly get with Nebraska, Purdue(at home) and IU(at home). With Rutgers and Iowa. If they don't get 3 wins in that stretch, I think the best they can do is finish 12/13. If they are 2-6, it's not looking good with 7 of their next 10 against ranked teams. Just brutal. But our next 5 are against ranked, so everyone has a tough schedule. Lol
 
Holy shit we jumped from 43 in KenPom up to 27. Meanwhile MSU dropped from 32 to 49. That's a huge swing.

Same here. We looked pretty bad OOC prior to Illinois. Our KenPom dropped from like 30 to like 56 before the St Louis game. Close games with BC, one against LMU and whatever Dakota that was. Didn't exactly inspire the most confidence. Something clicked against SLU. Carr is playing amazing. Was listening to Hummel and Goodman pod and one of them had Carr 1st team AA. At this point I think he probably is.

I looked at our projected record and right now we're projected to go 17-10(assuming all games are played). That would for sure get us in the NCAA tournament. We play Nebraska twice so if we got both of them that's still 6 additional quality wins.
 
First time really getting to watch NW and I think their talent is a little underrated. Beren, Nance and Kopp were all 4 stars out of high school. Audige was an all CAA FR at William & Mary and Buie has definitely outplayed his 3 star status out of high school. I don't know about their depth, but they have a really capable starting 5.
 
Fun first half between Iowa and NW. If NW can rebound on the defensive end better and not turn it over as much, NW could keep this a game.
