Big Ten Basketball

Probably need to match Iowas intensity out there boys. Looks like the Ohio St game
 
Welp, it was a roundabout way, but the Gophers are going to finish last in the B1G this year. It's not a surprise we've struggled down the stretch basically playing 6 guys all year. All in all the season exceeded my expectations(which were really, really low to begin with) so hopefully with some transfers coming in, along with the incoming freshman class, we can maybe avoid opening night in the B1G tournament next season.

I have watched a lot of Iowa games down the stretch(mostly to watch Keegan because he's fun as hell watching) and I've always wondered why Rebraca plays as much as he does and Kris doesn't play more? Kris is a really good player. He's going to blow up next year.

How does finishing last exceed your expectations? Did you think they would finish 15th?

I Think Fran feels he needs to play his transfers, so he can encourage other transfers, but i agree that Kris should be getting more minutes
 
Good to see Iowa with this kind of intensity especially on defense.

I thought we'd finish last, but I didn't think we go undefeated in OOC play. I think I predicted like 7 wins for the season. We had some nice wins OOC(@Miss State, vs. Princeton, vs. WKU). We were also in alot more games than I thought too. In that sense, I was pleasantly surprised.

I live in MN, my oldest played at CDH, I think Ben is the right coach. As a Hawkeye fan I hope he isn't

Yeah, I think his schemes are pretty good, were just really limited from a roster standpoint at this point. We have an okay class coming in, but we'll need to hit the transfer market a little better this off-season. Getting Fox healthy will help. But we need to land a starting caliber SG/SF. Loewe and Stephens gave it their all, but they are just limited.

Ton of talent in this state, and I think he has the best chance of keeping here. My kid had 3 d1 kids on his team and they all spoke highly of him.

Again though, I hope it doesn't work out

Bummer. Overall we played ok. Just too many freebies missed. But D was solid and rebounded well

Missed fts and layups cost us the game
 
Im glad Kris missed that . We didnt deserve to win
 
God damn Im just getting wrecked on teams not being able to cover 4 goddamn points.
