Bryan Harsin Inmediate Future at Auburn in Jeopardy

I'm pretty sure that comment you quoted was just to take a shot at OU. :dhd:
Maybe. I've seen quite a few BSU posters dump on Harsin over the years though and I've never really understood why.

He was a step down from Petersen. Went from being the top G5 program to just a solid program. I get the frustration. If the coach that follow Saban at Bama goes 11-2 every year, their fans won’t be happy

Anger over him leaving is my guess. BSU fans are an odd bunch. I remember some BSU fan a couple of years ago on KhmerRougeHoop starting some shit thread that was like "Dallas fans hate BSU players but keep drafting them" despite no Dallas fans ever having an issue with BSU players :noidea:

nah, they were shitting on him when he was still the Boise coach

Probably a step down I suppose but they also moved into a tougher conference. Petersen also won ~80% of his games while they were in the MWC and Petersen's last year in Boise was worse than any year under Harsin. He absolutely did not suck.

Was it really a tougher conference after Utah and TCU left the MWC?

He didn’t suck, but 10-3 won’t please a fanbase that wants 13-0

i know some UT people are mad at him because of how he picked Tyrone Swoops over other QBs that wanted to come during his cycle.. But at the same time I know he hated what Mack had become at that point and jetted ASAP to Arkansas St when they offered

Probably was about the same right after TCU left but at this point the MWC is better top to bottom than the old WAC where nobody other than Boise State played defense.

I think you've identified the real issue there. The fan base wants 13-0 every year but that's completely unrealistic for ANY college team (let alone a G5 school) other than MAYBE one or two.

Had he beaten y'all like he should have, wonder if people would have been shitting on him now despite him losing coaches and some players? Had he won would it be, he's upgrading? processing the non believers out the locker room? Crazy how it's such a thin line

Gus Malzahn did beat us and he got canned. It's pretty simple, we're contending for nattys consistently so they think they should be too. Merely beating us isn't the bar anymore, but yeah if he would've won that game his job would've been a lot safer for the time being. It would've got him another season.

He had success at first with Pete’s recruits but every year just got worse. Couldn’t win against a ranked team. Ran the same play over and over and over even though it didn’t work the last 20 times. He is good for 9-10 wins but that is it.. he is a arrogant prick. I always called him the seagull, he swooped in shit all over everything and swooped out.

No I was ready for him to leave 3 years ago, the way his contract was written I didn’t think we would ever be able to get rid of him. Thanks Auburn

Conference was a pretty good one when Utah and TCU were still in it.
