Bundesliga 2020/2021 Ongoing Thread

If the season ended today, Union would be heading to the UCL. They're the real deal.

I still have some hope for Sarr. Perhaps he will be sent out on loan, considering his contract, or will hopefully improve and validate Bayern's initial interest in him.

Good point about Alaba's minutes. I highly doubt he stays considering he is demanding wages higher than Neuer, Lewandowski, and Sergio Ramos. Can you believe Real's negotiator when he heard that request from Alaba's agent Zahavi? Now we know why Uli blasted Alaba and his representation.

Hernandez is one of the shot in the arms the team needs. Davies also needs to find his previous form. Hell, that can be said for a bunch of players. I'm kind of worried about Gnabry. Guy is a total space case right now.

Took down a big German Club. Leverkusen really tailing off. Some of these clubs really work hard. Union one of the hardest working teams I have seen. Bayern one of laziest. They always seem a step behind on loose balls.

A lot of space cases right now. ESPN has a good article on Bayern defense today. Called out Pavard and Davies the most. Called them woefully out of form. It is about time Davies got some real flack. He lost his job early in the season to Hernandez, remember. I don't know if it is his sophomore year or the accolades have gone to his head. Seemed to be one of the biggest partiers when they won UCL. Didn't realize maybe he had to stay in form as season came quickly and Hernandez out worked him from Day 1. I would like to see Hernandez start every game and Davies benched for a bit. Pavard, he was injured during Covid break and never hardly played through UCL and Kimmich played right back. May not have won UCL with Pavard at right back. I have never been a Pavard fan. He has lost his attacking skills too. Bayern need a right back with better attacking skills. If he was that good, why did Stuttgart get relegated? Gnabry he is a real space case now. Just what Germany doesn't need either. The whole German team is a space case except Kimmich / Goretzka / Neuer and a few of the younger ones like Neuhaus. I thought I could trust Gnabry as he was good for both Bayern and Gnabry and now wtf happened. He is wild with possession now and that doesn't help either. I thought going into the season Sane Gnabry Coman was going to be lethal and has been just the opposite. Can you imagine where this team would be without Lewandowskis 20 goals? Bottom half for sure.

P.S. Nubel team bitching at lack of playing time. With the pathetic defense they can't play him and Neuer must play. If I were Bayern, I might try him for a game or 2 after Freiburg. Some softies coming like Schalke.

I thought when Nübel signed his contract, it guaranteed playing time. Perhaps that was just a rumor. I recall Neuer was not a fan of Nübel’s signing.

Well he is moaning about it today with his management and we have only seen him once against Atletico. Useless signing on his part. Should have gone somewhere else.

He should've stayed with S04 in retrospect. He was their captain, until Wagner stripped him following his transfer intentions. Now he sits endlessly. Certainly isn't helping his form or preparedness. He needs minutes. Sarr should get more minutes just because I'm still hopeful he will turn out to be decent. Better than Pavard lol. I'm almost certain we will be seeing a ton more of Hernandez, as it should be.

Good results for Bayern this weekend. Leipzig Dortmund Wolfsburg tie and Leverkusen lose. Bayern absolutely must beat Freiburg tomorrow. Coman and Goretzka will be back.

It was a golazo. I had just got up, got my coffee, turned the game on 30 seconds earlier before the goal. Every team has a boogeyman, Bayern is Gladbach. I think they have lost 4 of last 7 to Gladbach.

Germany full of head cases and pylons on defense. You know you are in trouble when you have to rely on guys like Tah and Rudiger in defense.

Portugal is a scary team. I love Bruno Fernandez. He is everything Pogba isn’t. That was a big hit for Manchester United.
