I do like what I see from Upamecano so far other than that goal. He, like LaCroix, are damn good with the ball and their marking is great.

Actually they stabilized after early start. I like Stanisic more. He has some offense in him. I heard they rate him higher than Omar Richards. Phonsie looked good too. Maybe the best of the 4 man midfield. Muller not good, Goretza pretty invisible, Lewey getting his chances though as usual.

We both have the Wolfsburg goalie as our main guy. I got Timo Horn as my backup for cheap. Probably won't play him much.

Author then opined Bayern would bring in:

I believe that should be correct. None of the forwards provided much other than Coman. Gnabry giving the ball, Sane woeful on defense, and launching balls over the bar. He gifted Kimmich a goal which he shanked. Upamecano was very shaky. Defense overall not great. Seems a lot of issues like last year. Phonsie looked great. Fast, and made a lot of 1 on 1 plays. Player of the game imo. Stanisic had some issues late too. Pavard should keep his job for now. Bayern might also bring in Dest.

Sommer was amazing. Prevented a hat trick for RL9 for sure. Bayern lucky not to have had one of those late Upamecano plays on Thuram called for a penalty.

Very lucky. I thought for sure one of those a penalty. Lewey had his chances but many right to Sommer some of them. Kimmich shank at end ugh. That was a beautiful pass from Coman. Totally wasted. Gladbach had the worst shank though.

He has his issues with penalties. One thing with penalties, Haaland is taking them this year, last year Reus so this will help him in the scoring chase.
