Yeah, sad day. I'm sure we all knew it was coming one of these years.

Not sure what you'll think of this but if I had to choose a Bayern player I grew up liking the most I would probably land on Michael Ballack. Not a long tenure with Bayern, but still loved the way he played.

Good one. I am 63 so I saw Beckenbauer and Gerd Muller. Thomas Müller still my number 1 favorite athlete of all time

Back in the day early 70’s PBS had a show Soccer made in Germany. Got the weekly highlights and news from all the games. Watched that weekly with my opa who was German. In those days, tv was like 5 VHF channels and 2 or 3 UHF ones if the antenna worked. Very very lucky to have a program like that in the USA then. They had them on ESPN+ no too long ago.
