Caleb Williams

You can believe that, but you lost a TON of talent. I can't see how it wouldn't hurt the program. Will they struggle? I don't think so. But will they be competitive nationally when the majority of recruits who left were 5 star or top 100 recruits -- I'd say no.

Look at the guys you've lost. That isn't easy to replace.

True. It might take Texas until the 2nd OT to choke the RRSO.

@trojanfan12 you have more details on this. Board posted
"“Williams will bring several players with him,” said a source.” There are other players at OU who want out.”"
from the On3 USC insider
and with this guy leaving

wonder if he was hinting at this. BTW, this kid is a cancer to the team. His dad is a whole fleet of helicopters, he really thinks his son is the reincarnation of NFL ALL-PRO Deion Sanders.. Be wary and tread lightly

Who the hell is writing this claptrap for these guys? Many of them couldn't string together a nine-word sentence without a grammatical error if their life depended on it. It's not their parents writing it either. Since every player on every team says basically the same thing using the same flowery language which makes them look like a cross between St. Paul and Solomon, there has to be a guy/computer program/legal firm/whatever doing this for them. Hmmmm. I wonder.

he's a scholar now, he attended one semester in Norman, sir

but trolling aside, this was a great addition by subtraction

hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.
Did you see those 2 teams play last night? They looked like NFL teams on defense. Lol Riley was never going to give us that. Venables has beaten Bama and has Nattys. He has a much better chance of getting OU over the hump.

As I said, hell hath no fury. You were elbowing people to be first in line to wash Rileys feet right up until he held the presser to announce he was leaving. In November you talked about how epic of a class he was bringing in and how there was no way he was leaving except for the Dallas Cowboys.

now you talk like he is a bum that was running OU into the ground. :pop2:

They're all doing that. One of the best things about this has been the meltdown of the Sooners.

Let's call Muleshoe's leaving and Brent Venables replacing him The Great Experiment. LR was a helluva coach who almost guaranteed OU 1-2 loss seasons and consistent conference championships. But even the best marriages can fail. Things got stale, grass looked greener on the other side of the fence and here we are. Most OU fans doubted we would be successful in the SEC with LR. He must have thought that too apparently. So now we start over in The Great Experiment with Brent Venables and a new staff. It might get better; it might even get worse. Or maybe nothing much will change and OU will still be a 10-2 or 11-1 team that can't get over the CFP hump. LR forced the issue by leaving and I'm like most OU fans who are just eager to see how it all turns out.
