CFB Coach Hot Seat rankings are out

It’s looking like 6-6 is the ceiling this year given who they have left and what they are now. Wonder who Miami AD has in mind to replace him?
That‘s a good question because it doesn’t seem like a very fun job. Miami had a great season last year which was a big improvement and he slides a bit and they have the ax ready.

Diaz is a solid DC and I think he has what it takes to be a HC but he made a big mistake on hiring Lashlee as his OC. The guy doesn’t evaluate talent well at all.

What level of coach could Miami pull? Maybe...oh idk...Jamey Chadwell?
Look to the Big 12 a lot of those guys have to be looking for the exit.

My guess is the fan base is convinced Cristobal would come but he would be an idiot to do so.

I’d go after Kendal Briles.

If he does get to 6-6 i think Miami would keep him but make him make some internal changes. (That OC you mentioned)

I also think what realistic possibilities Miami has to hire that would make sense to tear this all down after all 3 years, one of which was a covid year.

Think Matt Campbell would go there?

I think Campbell has to jump this year because Iowa State is about to lose a lot, his recruiting budget is going to take a hit and his stock will never be higher.

He is going to need to decide this year if he wants the rest of career be in Ames or if he wants out.

Ed Orgeron to Miami!

If he isn't banned from the campus.

A fair point, I think he still has a few years even though we all know Tx/OU will be SEC members by the 2023 school/sports year. But I agree his star probably won’t be as high as it is now.

Although when this 12 team playoff happens you could make an argument him making it and winning a game can still help his (and others) stock climb.
