CFP Rankings (11/30)

I have quoted a lot of responses here. I am not just pointing out Baylor and Okie State's schedules. I was simply responding to the first page about one conference being tougher or comparable to another conference. To be honest, I want to see Oklahoma State in the playoff. To see what these guys have. Be a different BIG XII team in the mix. I want it to be Georgia, Michigan, Oklahoma State, Cincinnati. Because it is a total different picture than what we are used to. It would also have the first G5 team in.

and here you go again. It doesn’t matter, Im Done here with this topic. I was just laughing at your reasoning for pumping up the SEC OOC percentage while ignoring the extra 12/14 wins a year they get from it. And yeah, you were giving Baylor and Junior shit while ignoring 13 of the 14 teams in the SEC did the exact same thing.

Every team in the SEC is bowl eligible except one. What other conference can claim that? The SEC has won 86% of the games played against out of conference opponents. The BIG XII has won 80% of the games played against out of conference opponents. I didn't use rankings, polls, etc. Just win loss records.
you know, it really helps when you can schedule 4 OOC games.. with basically 1 that is competitive.. while the other 3..not so much. Simple formula gets you 4 or at least 3 wins. So when you get into conference play, all you need is either 2 or 3 wins and boom, bowl eligible.

And SEC is down this year compared to some of the years past. GA is clearly an elite team, Bama is a good team as well, not dominant like a season ago, but still pretty solid. After that? just a log jam of ok teams.

He forget that Texas got beat by 10 loss Kansas? LOL
laugh all you want, but this terrible Texas team still wound up with more wins that Nebraska.. and it's not like this was Sark's 3rd year into rebuild either like Frost was..

I see what ya saying now. The BIG XII has three ooc games and for many teams one is an fcs team and the other two aren't that competitive. Throw in Kansas and you have 4 easy wins. The SEC is UGA and Bama the a log jam of ok teams.

SEC: Georgia 12 wins, Bama 11 wins, Ole Miss 10 wins, Kentucky 9 wins, and two teams with 8 wins, a 7 win team, the rest have 6 wins except a 2 win Vandy team.

BIG XII: Okie State 11 wins, Baylor 10 wins, Oklahoma 10 wins, no 9 win teams, no 8 win teams, two 7 win teams, two 6 win teams, two 5 win teams, and a 2 win team.

So Georgia then Bama then okay teams after them. This includes a ten win Ole Miss team. So that must mean that Baylor and Oklahoma are just okay teams because they have 10 wins. A Baylor team that could be BIG XII champs is just ok? The SEC has a 9 win team and two 8 win teams and BIG XII has none of these and the SEC is down this year? This overall is better for the SEC than 2019, 2018, etc. but this is the season that every team behind UGA and Bama are a log jam of ok?

Well yeah, the Big12 is an easier conference than the B1G. Let me know when Nebraska loses to a 10 loss team though.

At this point whatever happens happens...don’t really care either way because even if we win Saturday ZERO Chance we would beat UGA again.

At least we went 13-0 last season against an all Power 5 schedule and only played 1 game closer than 10 points

Not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing
Well, hell, when the ACC teams beat up on each other, ESPN came up with the ACC wheel of destiny and laughed about it. Now, that the SEC has teams beating up on each other, ESPN brags about it like its a good thing.

It will be interesting to see if the committee keeps Cincy ahead of Okie St if Bama pulls off the upset vs UGA.

I think most conferences have a cupcake here and there. Georgia vs Clemson, Florida vs Florida State, Arkansas vs Texas, Alabama vs Miami, Mississippi State vs NC State, LSU vs UCLA, Auburn vs Penn State, South Carolina vs Clemson, Tennessee vs Pitt, Kentucky vs Louisville, etc. Yeah there are some cupcakes but those ain't it. BIG XII has their share of cupcakes also. But that is a pretty decent OOC schedule against P5 teams for the SEC. Oklahoma State didn't play an OOC P5 team. Baylor didn't play an OOC P5 team. Oklahoma did play Nebraska. Texas played Arkansas. So go back and check that. The BIG XII top two teams didn't play a single OOC P5 team. Speaking of cupcakes.
Yeah but they played #12 BYU which is better than most P5 OOC opponents. In fact, BYU was 5-0 this year versus the PAC 12.

Don’t steal my decade-old material

Ha. The ACC Wheel of Destiny is probably the best thing ESPN has produced for CFB, I'll give them that

Lots of extra cupcake games in the SEC. Not saying those teams aren't good, but the extra win along with rest sure helps. I wonder if anyone can pull up the stats of the SEC vs non P5 this year.

Speaking of cupcakes I can tell you that it has been 7399 days since Washington beat a ranked OOC team during the regular season. That's more than 20 years for those scoring at home.

The difference between the Pac-12 and the SEC in terms of G5 teams is the SEC usually wins those games.

Y'all went 6-5 vs G5 teams this year...the SEC went 27-1. Y'all were 7-2 versus FCS, the SEC was 13-1. You were 3-13 vs other P5 Conferences, the SEC was 7-7.

Your whole league is cupcakes. If wins were all that mattered UTSA would be a top 10 team.
