GAME CFP ROSE BOWL: #1 OREGON DUCKS vs #8 Ohio State Buckeyes

Oregon has walked through every opponent this year that the B1G has offered them, and this opponent from the conference will be no different.

Buckeyes will come in confident, thinking they are "back", but Oregon will quickly remind them that this is their conference and this year this is THEIR playoff. Ducks are the team of destiny this year, no one is stopping them. 3 games to go, take it one by one. January 1st Ohio State will be reminded that their rent is due.

Yeah, there’s good numbers there. But the 3 playoff teams they played all scored 30 plus on emm in 1 score games. Thats why the proclamation of “the best defense in the country” is laughable. Hell that defunct Michigan offense got 17.
 
It sucks that this is the matchup. It should be a semi-final or final.

The rules for this playoff (auto-byes for the highest rated champions) is idiotic, but I am going to use "Herbie Logic".

Wins don't matter.

We want the best teams.

If Ohio State beats the Ducks in a close game, they are clearly the best teams. They should skip the semi-finals and put these two teams in the final to determine the championship.

They need to tweak it. Auto-bids for the Power 4 Conference champs...then, once the field is set...seed them with the top 4 seeds getting 1st round byes.

I bet if Ohio State wins we will get some long winded post from OD about how it was "unfair" that they had to have a rematch and that Oregon is still a dynasty and the true national champions because they were the only team that went undefeated in the regular season.
