Coaching Carousel Scorecard This Season

I think the Miami base really wants Mario to return but I'm not sure Mario really wants to go there. Hell he probably rather go to LSU than Miami at this point. He can sleep walk into top 5 classes, and actually has a bag system to his liking compared to the Shapiro-era canes.

Aranda has seen his profile jump so much, he’s been mentioned as a possible candidate at Southern Cal to replace Clay Helton. As Bruce Feldman of The Athletic points out, “When USC fired Clay Helton, Dave Aranda had a career record of 4-7. In the 2 months since, he’s led Baylor to an 8-2 record and now his coaching stock is soaring.”

That's interesting Franklin's stock has plummeted and Aranda's is heading up. If LSU wants Aranda they need to get on with it.

Kiffin was the guy I wanted at Auburn but after watching this season I think we may have dodged a bullet. Lane has gone full retard on the analytics and it's costing him chances at winning games. I'm fine with a roll of the dice here and there and going for 4th and short is something everyone should do but I draw the line at passing up points when they make sense.

I actually think his decision-making will hinder him from being considered for other jobs.

Let SC and LSU get into a bidding war and at the end..Aranda goes to LSU even if SC had the bigger offer..

I don’t think there is anyway that USC can match what LSU is going to shell out. They can’t afford a 100mm deal.

LSU isn't going to pay that much either IMO
Dude who is the AD shelled it out for Jimbo. He has a track record for being a firm believer in the dump truck full of cash philosophy.

he was able to do that with a desperate athletic dept who had tons of money. LSU isn't desperate.. and as good as Aranda appears to be.. he doesn't have Jimbo's track record as of now

I believe Aranda was born in Cali.

Hey Bama fans, this dude legit or just some full of shit blogger/podcaster? (I'm leaning the latter)

You do not want him.

Did well enough at Penn St with that tough situation. Could probably put together a pretty good staff with his connections too. I'd take him over most of the G5 candidates not named Napier.

@Wild Turkey

Harsin still getting axed if he doesn't get vaxxed by December? SEC is gonna be wild with LSU, UF, and Auburn open.

State legislature will step in like Florida did on mandates. You can’t get redder than Alabama so no way to I ever see this actually happening. It’s just an interesting scenario to talk about.

seems like a lot of fanbases will have the WTF just happened moment when the musical coaching chairs stops at the end of all of this.

It should be interesting to see what shakes out of the SEC with all these new hires in the next few years.

Watch Saban retire at the end of the season after winning another Championship. (Sorry Georgia!)

I'm pretty sure just about every good coach has been named as a replacement at most of these schools.

I've heard just about every name out there as a possible new hire for LSU. Watch it be someone no one ever heard of!!!

:gaah:

You can bet Woodward will be dangling a big bag of money regardless of who it is. It is in his DNA.
