Coaching Carousel Scorecard This Season

But I still think it would be crazy fun to try Kiffin again, but with an incentive laden contract. Though I doubt he'd even consider that after that tarmac abandonment crap done to him. It definitely would be interesting to see the "what if?".

He is actually the one re-hire that I could see working.

The problem with bringing back Carroll, imo, would be the same problem that emerged when John Robinson came back. He's been out of college football for over a decade. The game has changed. Most of the kids today, don't know a lot about what he did at USC because they weren't born when it started and were still pretty young when it ended.

Outside of the brief time with the Raiders, Kiffin really hasn't left college football, he is part of the change in style that has taken place and all the kids know who he is.

Really, the only concern I would have with him is that I don't think he pays a lot of attention to defense. You don't have to have a great defense to compete for an NC...but you have to have a solid one.
Everyone out there would go batshit crazy out there if Kiffen were to come back! :headbanger: :heh:

USC to Georgia Southern. Not the right direction

Would be cool for GA Southern to get back to winning 10 games a year. Fun Belt would be lit if Southern started being good again

His choices were probably a couple hundred grand as an analyst for an SEC or a couple of million to coach a Sun Belt team.

Not a bad choice.

Just read an article on this and it looks like his salary is 800K.

I assume he is still getting paid by USC so it might have been a better decision to become an analyst for a while at an SEC school or maybe an offensive coordinator in a year or two then who knows.

He must just want to be a head coach and live life.

Georgia Southern is a cool little university. He'll enjoy it there.

Looks like there's some building smoke about Billy Napier and Va Tech having mutual interest. Several national media types have mentioned Napier and VT as potential fits and Stephen Godfrey went as far to say that if LSU doesn't offer Napier, he expect him to take the VT job
Umm did you guys fire Fuente?

If Frost finishes 3-9 which I think is most likely, I think there is a good chance he is let go. A 4-8 finish is questionable, but if he were to somehow finish better than that, he would certain keep his job without question.

anything less than 6-6 is unacceptable tbh

seriously, it took Dave Clawson three years to get bowl eligible at Wake Forest. Frost is not the guy and everyone knows it at this point. Fire him and get a guy that will compete for championships.

WTF happened to them? They were a solid program for a long time and now they're just dookie.

Chip Lindsey happened. He's fucking awful. As the underdog, with a RB cutting through CCU's defense, the bastard punted 3x last Thursday on 4 and 1. Local lore has it that he spends more time stalking college chicks than coaching. My only personal experience with him is drinking a few beers while he downed 4 plates of wings at the local bar.

Even guys who play Tennis know about Chip Lindsey - The gist of sentiment here ATM.

who would y'all try and get if Frost is let go? BTW I still think he survives for another season even if they do not qualify for another bowl

I wish. But most, including the national guys who normally don't run that type of speculation without at least having an informed opinion on it, expect him to be done at the end of the season.

Dykes going to TCU per TCU insider guy

**He was leaning towards heading to Tech, but TCU wanted him since they seen what he did in Dallas.**

What’s the better job? I would think TT being a state school heavy in engineering would have more resources than a private Christian school.
