We're getting some snow over here in NYC. I'm in Brooklyn right now and there's an inch or two in places. Most of it is slushy and not really piling up.

We will soldier on.

We have a dusting on the ground. It's calm and the sun is shining ... if you can get past it's 12 degrees now, it's a very nice day.

I have a bunch of his prints. I do need to get them appraised soon.

Same. I bought them at his gallery through the years. All numbered and signed in pencil. I've also got a nice coffee mug that I use every day, and an ornament for the Christmas tree.

Touring his gallery is amazing. Highly recommended and free (donations).
The prints don't do the actual oil paintings justice.

My daughter put this 1,000 piece jigsaw puzzle together for me years ago. It's framed and on my wall along with the prints.

Windy and Cold and Dry up here along RI's south coast... for now, anyway. :noidea:

I don't mind cold for the most part, but the "wind chill" feeling REALLY sux!! :tsk:

The American Portrait series is heartbreaking.

I don't have any of those, but I have three from the 'America The Beautiful' series.

Above The Fruited Plain
America America
And Crown Thy Good With Brotherhood (I only hang this one as a Christmas decoration)

Most of mine were bought at wildlife group auctions. DU, Pheasants Forever etc. All 15-20 years ago.

Heck of a cold snap coming in tonight and lasting through the week. -18 for an actual temperature Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
I tend to doubt the 40's they forecast for Sunday 23rd and Monday 24th.
Although light and fluffy, we've got about 6" of snow cover that will be giving the 'refrigerator effect'. Once that melts off I can see those 50's on the horizon. A gradual warm-up should be good for getting the ice off the rivers/streams and limit ice jam flooding.

My dirt buddy who dug my 4 acre pond told me last night our frost line is 2.5 feet, which is less than our average of 3.5 to 4 ft. and that these next 6/7 days will likely get us there.
