I've got a lot of 1 oz silver coins/bars in the safe that I started buying in 2018.

Thought about letting them go in the upper $20's, but held. I'll probably take just north of $30 when the time comes.

I'm out in the country, so if the shit hits the fan and I've got no silver, I'll still eat.

Same here.....

Ive been buying silver bullion and small amounts of gold since 2015.....
In 2020 during covid silver hit an all-time high just over 29 per oz.....
Last I checked this morning it was at 22.35......

When I first started buying,it was around 13-14$......

So since 2020,I kinda lost some cash, but not actually seeing it hit 30 unless the country hits anither covid oytbreak.....

Palladium was up to 2500 an oz during covid, but has flattened out to 1800.....

Do you see the pattern?

Should have gotten this thread going a long time ago.

Bitcoin hit three-month low a couple of hours ago. I grabbed a grand at $45,690.

Tossed three grand on Litecoin a day or so ago at $142!

Watching MDT. If it goes to .07 I'm tossing 5 grand on it and setting sell limits at .15

It goes up and down like all stocks.......but I dont invest to buy and sell,I buy for my 2 kids and two grandkids....so I font care hoow the market goes, but one thing for sue is,silver and gold is real money, comoanies can go broke and leave you with nothing.....

Best thing of all, they dont know I have it and someday when I know my time is near, they can open the safe and it will be like xmas....

Ive got probably 20 lbs of silver coins and bars.......and hopefully there will be alot more by time I go.....
Got my fingers crossed I see 80....

I divested all mine in the last 18 months. But my strategy was driven by age. Yours was mine back in the 80s. Now, it's all about capital preservation but in a much shorter term than what you have.

Dollar price averaging is a solid strategy with precious metals.

The one main difference is that gold and silver run counter to economic stability.

Still loling at someone calling Robinhood trusted and Hammer even endorsing them. Robinhood is the least Hammer site to ever Hammer and here we are in a fucking crypto thread of all places praising them. What a time to be alive.

The level of ignorance in this thread is, quite frankly, astonishing.

Your criticism is well founded. I have a buddy (knock around guy) who jumped on Bitcoin EARLY. He told all of us about it. I didn’t invest bc I just didn’t understand it. Plus, this guy, while I think he’s a great friend, he’s just not the kinda guy you would take investment advice from. He’s killed it! In fact, everything he has said would happen has happened. He’s in pretty deep and he says if it hits 100K he’s done. He’s moving overseas and retiring. He’s sure it will one day.

For me there’s a lot I don’t understand. Plus I’ve heard horror stories about lost passwords and can’t access the money as well as people just having it stolen. Another buddy is a member at a golf club and one of his friends had 1M in Bitcoin stolen. The guy was like “who do I complain to?” Answer: nobody.

People may be missing out on the ground floor of the next big thing. Good luck with your positions.

I use them because it's simple, fast and free but I'm already seeing the need to transition to Coinbase Pro.

I mean I guess it those three things. It’s definitely the site for dumb college kids who think they’re the next Warren Buffet.

It’s also been fined countless millions of dollars over the course of multiple incidents and fucked over countless of their customers during the GameStop situation when they decided to… you know… change the entire rules of the use of their website in the middle of the day.

I'm pretty much doing the same. I'm using Robinhood for Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum and doing the lessons on Coinbase for the free crypto and about to start doing some spot trading on altcoins there.
Robinhood works if you don't want to ever move your coins, but you need to use an exchange like Coinbase if you actually want to control your shit.

Yeah, understood. What I’m researching now is the best exchange for day trading and leveraging and it’s looking like Phemex for me. Opinions? Anyone using bitbuy?

THIS is the biggest problem with this whole thing. If you want to invest in go for it, not my money I just hope no one puts in so much that they'd be hurting without it. Like I said I have a friend who was an early investor and made out nicely.

But what has to be really taken care of is knowing who you're trading with. It's like the early days of the Internet with people preying on those who don't know better by creating burners, making up sob how this one person got them out of debt and rich stories post on every post from a large account, directing people to reach out to them and basically pyramid-scheming them. If you know who you're trading with (Robinhood, for instance) and trust them, great, but some of these off-beat third party investors basically will empty you out and call it a service-fee.

I do zero day trading and generally just buy and hold so I'm not the guy to ask there. I use BTC to move money to betting accounts and stuff but that's about it.

The wife bought a bunch of Shib (I think that's how you spell it) 4-5 months ago and it's future looks really bright.

You won’t regret it. Heavily encrypted and easy to use.
use Proton Mail for email and Authy for your secure token

I'll check with my 16 year old grandson. He plays with day trading. He got his seed money from my son, his uncle. He's been interested in Crypto for a couple years.
