Curious how the CFP would handle this

If I am reading posts correctly, it makes it sound as though the regular season of CFB doesn't really matter anymore. Just find a way into the playoffs and win 4 games, that's all the season has boiled down to
Uhh, yeah

Still, you need to have a good enough record, so the regular season does matter.

The #1 overall seed Oregon's path was play at Pasadena, play at Dallas vs Texas play at Atlanta vs Georgia

LOL

Tickets were $10 for some of them. I don’t think the powers that be will see that as success
The $10 tickets were secondary market. A friend of mine paid $176 each for 2 tickets to the B1G CCG and ended up selling them for $30 for the pair.

The CFP got theirs.

Whatever stadium the Falcons were playing in at the time has been the site of the most painful moments in UGA history

Less than 5 yards short in 2012
2nd and 26
2018 second half collapse in SECCG

Been a lot of good moments there too, but the bad always sticks out more. I don’t get too excited when UGA plays in Atlanta unless it’s Bobby Dodd

Oregon would've had to travel to Dallas vs Texas and possibly Atlanta vs Georgia.

Knock it off with this shit

Luckily, they didn’t have to go to Dallas or Atlanta.

Or was that not what you wanted?

Proof that Nebraska is Better than Oregon

Proof that Georgia State is better than Oregon!!

The only fix is to eliminate the top 4 AQ's getting a bye. Which I'm all for then ND can be top 4 and get a bye.

Im simply asking a question on how this should be handled or would be handled that I don't think the powers that be took into account. Shining the light on a major flaw of how this 12 team playoff set up.

Exactly how it will be handled, this Oregon team goes into the dust bin of history as a loser when it counted. The actual flaw is Oregon was over rated and got beat down by OSU.

Now quit your crying, the Ducks lost and you're still the biggest loser.

OD is so fucking predictable, I've been saying for weeks he'd claim Oregon should still be the "true champion" if they lost because they were the only undefeated regular season team
Yeah, someone said that yesterday in the Rose Bowl thread ... only a matter of time.

I don’t have a problem with the byes themselves, but winning a shitty conference shouldn’t get you one.

My biggest fear is waking up and my team being like Wisconsin

I don't think that's how the committee will handle it, so you can count your blessings.

Basically this. The obnoxious bozos who crow about “P2/G3” really do need to get a clue.
