December 1 morning - the end (of 2020) is nigh

I have a meeting in half hour, it's scheduled for an hour, I'll be surprised if it takes more than 10 minutes.
jelly.

Since the pandemic started, if I'm not facilitating a meeting, every. single. fucking. meeting. has gone to or past time capacity.

Like, she just legit took an unopened bottle of wine and went home with it? It's bad enough if you take one back home that you brought. But she took a bottle of something she didn't bring?
well my mom told her to take a bottle off the counter, not realizing what was on the counter.

my mom made food and a bunch of people came by and picked up to go food, so there wasn't anything my sister brought anyways.

I recently discussed that I used to be really into wine and that since kids, it's few and far between that I spend much money on wine. My go-to's are in the $12-20 range, occasionally I'll go up to $30.

BUT! I recently had a COVID date night, made surf and turf, and threw down on a bottle of 2015 Heitz Cab. $100 on sale for $60, plus the 10% off for buying six bottles got it down to $54. Holy shit, what a difference from what I usually drink. I either need to win the lottery, or put my kids up for adoption.
I feel this post. I don't buy expensive wine often, but holy crap, the difference is amazing. A former associate bought me a $300 bottle a few years ago and goddamn that was the best wine I've ever had and it wasn't close.

But unfortunately with these money-sucking kids in the house I'm stuck drinking box wine or the occasional $20-30 bottle.

Since the Artic decided to be bitch today, having chili tonight.

Ha beat you fatties to the punch
That just makes you one of us. Fattie.

And late to the game as well. So not even a hipster fattie.

We emailed out a reminder to help units process agreements faster, one of units that we work with regularly and have no issues with asked to meet. I replied no changes, your unit does a great job, no need to meet. They still want to meet.

Ok. I'll just verbally tell you same information I just emailed you. No changes, your unit does a good job.
I have a hearing at 11. Thought it was via Zoom, so I put on a suit. Turns out it's just a teleconference hearing.

I showered for this?

Got the tree up and decorated last night. Dogs won't stop barking at it.

Made turkey pot pies out of leftovers. So fucking good.

I like wine, but don't drink it much.

I think I should start more. I typically like chardonnay or other drier white wines and table reds. I'm sure I could get into others if I drank more often

I'll be making lettuce wraps tonight

I haven't figured out supper yet, but after this short hearing I'm going to make egg salad for lunch. Been craving it for awhile.

Think just some spaghetti and chicken

Got my kids to try sushi rolls on Sunday night and they loved them. Started them out with California rolls and now we'll slowly make our way onto other options. Even if they both just like California rolls, it opens up the options for getting sushi more often.

your kids are more adventurous than Douche

I ordered a spicy tuna poke bowl last week from my local sushi place...I would have rather had rolls

i'm not a sushi fan, but can eat california rolls and few other sushi rolls

Sushi is one of the items my niece misses after going vegetarian. (she still eats vegetarian sushi, but she does miss crab/tuna/fish)
