I was in basic training with a black kid from Chicago in 1986, name of Fields. He hated water. We had to run through this muddy chest deep trench and he tried to go around, one of our drills grabbed him and tried to push him in, fields was a strong dude, he didnt fight back, just sort of resisted, the drill sargeant face planted in the mudhole. Life was hard for Fields from then on out. lol... He made it though.
