Deshaun Watson

Well wouldn't it piss you off if they traded away your best WR for a chew toy and a tennis ball. Then they invite you to dinner to talk about the future and coaching moves and your input...then you find out from ESPN they hired guys and you didn't even get a heads up. Both sides are to blame and Houston is bad organization, that's all I know.
they traded away his best Wr for a chew toy before he signed his mega deal.

As far as the whole lying thing. I think that is just an excuse he uses for trying to get out of Houston. His real reasons for wanting out probably has nothing to do with the dinner. (at least I hope anyways)

Excuse or not this is a shit organization I don't blame him but I also don't blame Houston for being pissed off after Watson just signed the mega deal. Both sides are wrong but it's time to move on. Point is, holding grudges does no good at this point. Get max value and send to a shit organization like the Jets, where he could very well see no success.

He would turn them around.....that and all the cap space they have and draft picks.....plus a great hire as the new HC.

There is no guarantee especially when they give up their high picks for the next 2 or 3 years. The thing with the Jets is they have to rebuild the offense and the defense. They aren't a playoff-ready team like say the Dolphins.

The Jets have a shit ton of picks from the trades they have made.....trading for Watson wouldn't hurt that much. And they have the 2nd most cap space behind the Jags.

Sure, but cap space only gets you so far. They have to prove they can make the right moves and the draft will still be key, especially mid-rounds. Other than getting some of their top 10 picks on the money, they've done a bad job of drafting over the years.

Several 49er FA have said they will follow Saleh to NY. I think they'll be alright if they get Watson. Plus, Watson has said he likes the hire and he spends a lot of time in NY. Miami was the hot destination when it was first rumored he wanted to leave but things have changed.

We'll see.

The one thing I do agree with is the Jets have more assets to give in a trade for Watson...so they can withstand the blow more than other teams.

They have 2 1st's this year already and Schefter reported they can probably get a late 1st for Darnold. They could probably just give all 3 of those 1st's to Houston, plus their 2nd and a 2nd next year (keep their 1st next year and future 1st's).

Still don't trust their FO, I have to see what they do in this draft and FA before I even remoting consider trusting them.

Some interesting QB trades (not sure how realistic all of these are):

Wentz to Colts - 2021 Colts second round pick (No. 54 overall) to the Eagles for Wentz

Watson to 49ers - 2021 first-round pick (No. 12 overall), 2022 first-round pick, 2024 first-round pick, and Kinlaw for Watson

Jimmy G to Pats - The deal: 2021 third-round pick (compensatory selection) for Garoppolo

Darnold to Saints - 2022 second-round pick for Darnold

Minshew to Broncos - 2021 fourth-round pick (No. 104 overall) for Minshew

Not probable but it's okay for discussion.

Sounds like Watt doesn't want to be there either. I'm sure he'd rather play his twilight with a winner

I hope the next time he is taking a shit the Browns pop into his head...he would look damn good opposite of Garrett

Yessir!! Two years of Watt would be nice. Don't think they could swing any more but that may be all he has left anyway
