Deshaun Watson

Miami seems to be the only team with enough to offer Houston while also putting Watson on a team that is an instant contender, making him happy as well. Washington would be another team that he could make a big impact for but I don't think they can offer Houston enough
If the Rickey Williams trade taught us anything, it's that every team has enough to land any player.

I mean I guess if they really wanted him, maybe. I think a QB like Watson could make Washington an instant contender honestly but they'd basically have to sell there souls to get him. At least with Watson you shouldn't have to worry about him quitting right after bc he decides he likes weed better

Saints are in a pretty bad place cap wise, I though something like $95 million over cap for next year. Don’t think could afford Watson
I feel Payton will make sure the Saints land on their feet with the combo of Hill and Winston.

I’ve got zero confidence in Winston and it was telling that Hill got the nod ahead of him. Hill is intriguing but I don’t see him taking the Saints to a Super Bowl.

Detroit. Lions offer Stafford and their first round draft pick for Watson.

Let's break it down:

- Deshaun is upset that Houston hired their new GM by circumventing the committee they established to find one and Watson was a part of that group. To be fair he isn't the only one upset but is getting most of the headlines but the reputation of Houston being a team that wastes careers is getting a lot of ink.

- People who are supposed to be extremely knowledgable are now coming out and saying it is 50/50 that Houston and Watson separate.

- Houston is looking for a HC but honestly with the Watson drama it's going to be tough to land a coach especially with the draft issues that Houston faces. The only way to rectify that is to trade Watson and get some picks back and start rebuilding.

So do you see Watson leaving and who do you think lands him? I've read several scenarios and the one that makes the most sense is Miami because they have the cap space, currently own some of Houston's picks anyway and can put Tua in the deal. Miami would have to dig deep but for Watson it would be worth it.
Why would Miami ever agree to that deal?

Bc they don't think Tua is their franchise QB and Watson is a huge upgrade from any QB they can get at #3 without a doubt. They would still would have their other 1st round pick but Miami is a QB away from contending.

If Nick Caserio works a deal to give Watson to Miami for TUA and any amount of picks we'll know for sure who has been holding New England back in the drafts these past few years.

Why not watson to the pats? They have tons of cap space and know the GM well

Do the Patriots have enough to even offer ? They have 15th pick so not nearly as good as what Miami could offer

Staff and 1 1st rounder ain't getting it done.....LOL.
They could t afford to do it either. That’s like 50mil on one position for 2021.

I'm convinced that Belichick is convinced he can evaluate talent better than anyone else and can find diamonds in the rough at every position. His ego may not let him pull that trigger assuming he could.

Is there a huge amount of value for miami trading Tua and a one for Watson?
