Strictly damage control by the league. Suspending the refs speaks volumes. They cost the city of Detroit millions and may lose their jobs over it.
 
Bottom line Detroit won that game and had it stolen. Best thing that could have happened to them though as the will enter the playoffs with a chip on their shoulder.

Dallas wants none of the Lions again.

Wrong on all fronts. There was still time. Dallas would have covered 68 and not 70 had the right report been made. Dallas was screwed over by the same refs just a few minutes earlier.

Nothing was "stolen". :L

For whatever reason, if the officials told Dallas 70 is the guy, why would they even glance at 68. They paid ZERO attention to him. Just another tackle where he'd been all game long.

And had that bogus tripping penalty on the rookie Dallas TE not been called incorrectly or at all, the whole shitertee may never have happened.

Not a single scared bone in my body. In the playoffs maybe some of the holding and illegal hands to the face penalties against Parsons will get called. And maybe they get tripping called against the correct team.

And CeeDee and his 200+ yards wouldn't have had an issue moving the ball to midfield for our kicker to win the game considering there were 23 seconds and 3 timeouts for Dak.

Or McCarthy runs it 3 times and 2pt conversion doesn't happen. Or Campbell isn't a complete dolt and kicks the XP on any of the three tries and who knows what happens.

Anyone blaming the loss on the refs and one play just need to cope.

They couldn't run it 3 times after the tripping penalty because they need the FG. 1st and 25 needed as pass or 2 given the Pokes shit running game. But they threw it 3 times instead and one was incomplete giving Det another 35 seconds at least on the clock.

I think if we run it three times then punt we don't need the FG. They are then out of timeouts and have 50'ish seconds. Then the dime defense works, but not with 80-90 seconds.
