He’s only 23. Max Fried was 25 before he became good.
They were different on the eye test for me. You could see Fried had the goods. I've never thought Wilson had 'em. Occasional flashes, but that was all I ever saw.

Wilson has good stuff and he’s young. Game 4 in last year’s NLCS was one of the best playoff starts we’ve had this Millennium

I like Kyle Wright's stuff better.
I do too, but depth at starting pitcher was our biggest weakness this year. And FWIW, Wright and Wilson pitched in back to back games in last year’s NLCS. 11 runs scored in the first inning in Wright’s start, Wilson showed Clayton Kershaw how it’s done

That's ancient history. Kyle Wright got a W in the freakin' World Series. Time for the 2021 rotation to be:

Fried
Morton
Anderson
Wright
Ynoa

Then once Soroka comes back, do a freakin' 6 man rotation or let Ynoa head to the bullpen to become the closer in training.

Wilson is finally on a shitty team, so he'll be able to eat up innings, get experience and have the potential to get better

Wright or any other young pitcher on the Braves don't have that opportunity

Would be nice. Think we should trade either Waters or Pache for a starting pitcher. What we did this year was phenomenal, but very unlikely to happen again with so little depth at starting pitcher
I’d trade Pache or waters and prospects for Reynolds from Pittsburgh. Sign 2/4 of the OFs we acquired. Acuna, Reynolds, and a rotation of the other 2 with the DH.

Promote Kyle Wright for the year and see if he has figured it out.

obviously the most important thing is getting a deal done with Freddie

I like this.

While those trades turned out to be absolutely brilliant, I think what had more to do with the championship is the baseball Gods tipping their cap to the Braves for not being huge pussies and changing their name.

Congrats on all accounts, Braves fans.
As a Redski... err I mean football team fan I couldn’t agree more

They had a good deadline for sure, but I think their turnaround may have had more to do with the pitching having a very strong second half. They went from a team ERA of 4.27 in the first half to 3.44 in the second, and it's not like they made a lot of moves to revamp that pitching staff either (really just Rich Rodriguez).

Given that it's Boras saying this, he probably has his clients' best interests in mind when he says something like that.

Alex Anthoupolos put together the greatest Trade Deadline in American Sports history IMO.

I dont think I can ever criticize him again.

Got Joc Pederson(who would’ve won NLDS MVP if it existed)

Eddie Rosario(NLCS MVP)

Jorge Soler(WS MVP)

Adam Duvall( Multiple Postseason HRs)

AMAZING

All for None of our Major Prospects
1987 The Detroit Tigers fleeced the Atlanta Braves trading some random minor leaguer for Doyle Alexander. Doyle Alexander leaded us to the playoffs with a 9-0 record and a 1.53 ERA. Your Trade Deadline haul was maybe 2nd best.

you guys didn't win shit that year

The BRAVES WON THE WORLD SERIES BABY

A real Braves fan would have mentioned you got John Smoltz.
Smoltz' only family doesn't even remember him being traded from the Tigers for Doyle Alexander
