Anyway, it was solid. Not perfect, not without issues, but had enough of the nostalgic feel, didn't seem like a Madden reskin.

But now it won't launch on xbox...

Fuck all the way off EA or Microsoft or whoever's fault this is. Even deleted and redownloaded and still getting the same error.

how long did you play for. it was only a 10 hour preview. should be working now. i had no issues the past couple days on xbox

A couple hours. It doesn’t matter now, I only needed the trial to play it early. I tried again late last night and it worked.

Just annoying. I have way less time available to play ‘25 than I had for ‘04. Set time aside to check it out and get into it and “sorry, this doesn’t work because we have a server issue and you need to be online to play this by yourself…”
 
They’re prolly affected by the Crowdstrike failures…hope they get that shit sorted soon.

The failures are sporadic but impactful.

From what I gather either MS or Crowdstrike pushed out a buggy package and if a machine updated to said package it got hosed.

This is why you stagger rollouts of updates or packages if you manage domains with multiple forests.

Some ppl are lay-zee.

Yes it was one of the forced updates, which is why you ALWAYS turn those off.

Or don't use MS products :)

I ordered the physical disk, hasn't arrived. damn it.

Recently had a Windows Update that whacked my Roland plotter USB communication.

The IT guy came and tried to roll back and corrupted my box.

…I don’t like my box corrupted, but it tickled watching him make excuses, not knowing I have been Sys Admin for many years.
 
has anyone got to the point where they can realign? do they let you move OSU and WSU to MW or Big XII or does it make you keep the Pac alive?

I started a dynasty and there was for sure a realignment option during set up. I assume it will have the option between seasons.

I don’t remember a playoff tweaking option though… I wasn’t looking for it, but just realized I don’t remember it.

Edit: it makes you keep the Pac alive… “you can’t remove anymore teams from this conference”

I guess the only option would be to rebuild the Pac if you don’t want a 2 team conference.

@RobBase suggested a hoopla dynasty league in the thread on the video game forum. We should do that.

i thought that might be the case. it did that too me in prior games so figured it would here too.

Only kind of. If I recall right everyone plays a dynasty league like normal, unless you’re scheduled against another user controlled team, you have to play them.

Otherwise everyone just agrees on a timeline to advance, one or two games/week or whatever.

Remembering the disaster that was/is the fantasy league, it’s probably not a thing that would work. lol

You can't create players. Only thing you can edit is jersey #. Can't edit attributes.

Should be a place for it when setting up Dynasty. I don't have the game yet to confirm but in one of the preview videos EA did last week, they should you configure conferences basically anyway you like (20 team per conference cap). So want to add 4 teams to the SEC to make it 20? Go for it. Don't like the new BIG and want to restore the Pac? You can do it
