I'll never drive more than it's 230+ mile range.

my wife has maybe gotten gas 5 times in the last 10 years. She'll drive that car home on E so I have to run out and fill it up.

With electric I can just plug it in at home in my garage and it's always "full".

it's an intriguing option, just not sure I'm there yet.

My current plan is new car in 3 years, so we'll see. I applied for a promotion, if I get that, maybe sooner. Might as well spend the raise instead of doing something foolish like put more money into retirement

Those also suck for resale... and are ugly. That's been the biggest turnoff for most electric cars up until now... they're mostly fugly. I really like the Audi e-tron, but holy fuck is that expensive. The new Mustang Mach-e GT is WAY better looking than any Tesla.

oh, and fuck Elon Musk. And fuck Mars.

Really? I haven't looked into that much, but everything I have seen shows that, at worst, they depreciate as much as a combustion engine car. Usually, they depreciate less.
 
I hate shopping for cars. And my shit just grind poo-tarts into it anyway. I’ll drive this damn Pilot until it becomes unreliable. And with Covid, I probably bought myself an extra year.

right now most looking for electric are looking for the latest tech, and you're only getting that from the newest models.
