EPL 2022/2023

If they can get a result against Man U, then i think it's theirs to lose. I still fully expect to see City make a charge, but i gotta hand it to the Gooners, they're playing fantastic this season.
Got the full 3 points and still a game in hand. No chance Arsenal doesn’t make top 4 now. One spot done and dusted. Still 2 games with city and that will probably decide the top spot.

Spurs needed that today. Fulham a good team this year too. Kane again. What a player. Still right in the hunt for Top 4. Man U might be tougher to catch than Newcastle who can't score but they don't lose. A lot of ties but only 1 loss.

Wildest stat of the season for Spurs so far: the win at Fulham ties their 0-1 win at Brighton as the best win of the season and their only wins vs clubs currently in the top half of the league.

Arsenal: L, L
City: L
Newcastle: L
United: L
Brighton: W
Fulham: W, W
Brentford: Draw
Liverpool: L
Chelsea: Draw

More Juve speculation and potential fallout:

Long story short, there's speculation that all players from Juve at that time may receive a 30 day suspension. This sort of makes sense to me if the players are still at Juve, but I don't see how they could enforce something like this for players who have since left that club.

They need to do more to Juve. They have always done this kind of shit. Last time they dropped them to Seri C and they still didn’t learn. The Agnellis are basically a mafia family, but they obviously don’t have the clout and muscle they used to under Old Man Agnelli.

I wouldn’t shed a tear if they banned them completely.

I wouldn't be upset at all if Juve got pounded into dust. But, i draw the line when they start trying to punish players and even former managers. Keep the punishment at the top of the organization where the crimes were organized.

De Ligt for Bayern at Juve but I heard awhile back he was one of a few who outed Juve.

Yeah but they are in better shape than Chelsea and Liverpool. Klopp interview after game interview says the Chelsea result was a step forward. A step forward? You are Liverpool not Aston Villa or Crystal Palace. No excuse to be where you are or sitting behind Fulham and Brighton. Klopp needs to look in the mirror and say wtf are we doing.

Chelsea, I'm not terribly worried about this season. They seem lost and have felt that way since about the mid point of last season. Liverpool, on the other hand, I just don't trust. Even though they haven't been great this season, they're always capable of rattling off like 10 straight wins and getting right back in the mix. Hopefully that doesn't happen because I know for a fact Spurs won't keep up.

Spurs crashed Everton Danjuma loan this morning lol. Why would anyone want to go to Everton anyways. The worst run club in the Premier League probably.

Everton is pissed, but how can you blame a player for changing their minds when the club doesn't even have a manager in place. Interesting about Danjuma, not sure where he fits in Spurs side...possibly a straight up replacement for Son?

Also hearing that Porro is just about complete, so Spurs should finally have an upgrade on RWB that they've desperately needed since last season. I'd expect the summer will be when Spurs go hard after defenders and a new keeper.

McKennie being moved from Juve to Leeds.

Deadline day:

Jorginho to Arsenal. Done.
Man U making a move for Sabitzer from Bayern after Eriksen ruled out for 3 months.
Cancelo to Bayern. Done.
Enzo to Chelsea. Not done yet.

Kaylor Navas to Forrest. Wow. I might have wanted him more at Bayern than Sommer.

Fernandez to Chelsea but with that pitiful offense will it be enough to make top 6.

Daniel Levy blocks Pedro Porro deal and then......

"Conte fell ill this week and the diagnosis came back with cholecystitis requiring surgery. He will spend time away from the club recovering from the operation before returning."

Got the Porro deal through the door. It was apparently Sporting that kept moving the goalposts. The biggest blunder was with Matt Doherty. Spurs sent out Spence and Gil on loan, and they were going to do the same with Doherty but realized they hit the 8 loanee limit, so they had to terminate the contract instead. He landed at Atletico, but still that's a pretty bad fuckup.

Meanwhile, Chelsea spent like 600m and somehow will be safe from FFP.

I missed the part about the Porro signing. Good. I heard on Sirius yesterday Chelsea spent $300 million by far the most in a January Transfer window ever. La Liga griping today about FFP with Chelsea.
