Ewers = Transfer Portal. Wants TX Schools

not well for the Ohio State backer who lost out on money just so they can say they had him on campus for less than a year. good investment
IIRC, the first NIL deal for Ewer was with some nutrition company from the DFW area. The Texas Legislature passed a law where high school players couldn't get coin for NIL. So Ewers gave up his senior year and headed to Columbus so he could cash in.

But, I'm an old man and my memory ain't too swift.

Well, he got TX school

Let's see how he plays out now.. I'm pretty certain Thompson is gone, while I think Card stays. Best news all weekend was seeing Banks, Cam commit and the Fong'd CBs (along with multiple other $9.95ers) of Campbell (5*) and Agbo.

This is the best OL class on paper since 2009 at UT, but I really hope it isn't cursed like that one.

Doesn't look like his old high school is missing him much. They are three games deep in the playoffs.
they got crushed by Duncanville.. maybe they really did need Quinn?

Going forward, it would be wise for NIL boosters to put stipulations in the contracts about what happens if they transfer.

lol why?

Texas one is per year.. you leave, you don't get anything

Give the money upfront, with stipulations that if they leave early a proportional amount is returned.

sounds like the under the table bag game we all know and love.

The Horns with Hearts and Foundation deals are 100k per player for a calendar year, HWH pays 50k on top of that per OL in a calendar year. Are you meaning the individual deals they strike with like raising Canes? or Big Red Autos?

All of the above. Would like to see NIL be used to stop some of the signee free agency that has gotten out of control.

I don't.. My Horns are finally gonna act like the 800lb gorilla when it comes to this NIL deal.. Bag game was never suited for them like they way it is at Michigan

So I guess Arch is out.

I saw that. To be four/five games deep in the playoffs, there sure were a lot of routes in 5A and 6A semifinals this year. Usually the routes are gone after a round or two...especially in those upper divisions. Hope the finals at Jerry's world this weekend are closer games than the semis were. Look at these lopsided scores to be semifinal games in the two largest divisions.

6A Division I
Duncanville 35 Southlake Carroll 9
North Shore 49 Lake Travis 21

6A Division II
Dentorn Guyer 59 Tomball 14
Westlake 45 Katy 14

5A Division I
College Station 28 Mansfield Summitt 21 (Only close game among the 8)
Peatow 73 Flour Bluff 14

5A Division II
South Oak Cliff 44 Lubbock Cooper 10
Liberty Hill 42 Crosby 14

wow cooper got whipped so bad.. no wonder McKenzie decided to head to ou.. get away from Texas lol

Think Westlake and North Shore win 6A and 6B titles this week. Westlake.. they were really good in my high school days (they had brees, ryan nunez, Brett Robin, etc) but never thought they would become a state power like they are now.
