All four of them seem like great fits for the XiiI would be quite happy to see Colorado, an old Big 8 team, back in the conference from a quality of life standpoint. Makes pragmatic sense as well. Utah and the Arizona schools would be cool as well.
It's actually making the case that Oregon would go to the B1G.inb4 OD claims this is "MUCH BETTER THAN GOING TO THE BIG 10"
Exactly, this is a big nothing burger. Maybe the B12 wanted this to release but unless the B1G changes Its mind and invites more PAC schools without ND it’s nothing. The problem is the B1G isn't going to take additional PAC teams.
That's like me writing if the ACC drops its GOR then FSU and Clemson are going to apply for membership in the SEC.
No shit Sherlock.
I wouldn’t be totally shocked if the B12 invited the 4 corner schools before the B1G did anything. But saying it’s contingent on the B1G inviting more PAC schools when it doesn’t seem like that’ll happen anytime soon was kinda pointless imo.I think something will happen during the season with one of these expansions. Not sure yet.
SecondedTabascojet makes motion to return Missouri to the big 12 for future considerations in North Carolina or virginia.....
It might happen if the corner schools don't feel the commitment from the other 4 schools. If Ore, UDub, Cal, and Stanford drag their feet, push back on a longer term GOR - which I would think they would do if they think they have a chance to go to the B1G - then they might at some point say fuck it, we are going to the B12 where we know where we stand. Colo would be returning, and Utah fits well with BYU. The move makes a lot of sense, so long as it makes sense monetarily.Exactly, this is a big nothing burger. I just don’t understand them having the caveat ”if the B1G takes those other 4 schools.” Maybe so the PAC doesn’t sue them if this all goes down? It really sounds like the B12 wanted this out but with that caveat it’s like no shit Sherlock. It might happen if the corner schools don't feel the commitment from the other 4 schools. think they needed that meeting with FOX and ESPN to be able to show numbers of what each school could expect in return if they bolted.seems silly.
like if I was the Big XII i would have had form letters with fill in the school name ready to go in the event even 1 more school got an invite. be proactive not reactive.
