Eyabi Anoma late grad-transfers to Michigan

This is actually more interesting. He was granted two years of eligibility and immediately eligible at UM

Lol has he spent two years anywhere yet?
I'm trying to figure out how he has finished his undergrad already. About the only thing I can see as a positive from this -- Poggi is on the UM staff, who was his head coach in HS -- so if there is anyone that really knows the kid and how to get thru to him -- It is Poggi.

Or he enabled him in HS causing him to be the dick he seems to have turned out to be in college

Well, he had a year at Bama, year a Houston and two years at a junior college. That's 4. Also possible he got some sort of associates degree maybe?

To be a grad transfer -- you have to have earned a bachelor's degree. And bouncing from school to school, he would have lost credits here or there too, as schools don't simply accept every credit, you have to earn a certain number of credits at a school to get a bachelor's from them.

It is what it is. With the way the admin office hand cuffs the football program -- I really don't care, if the guy can help out the team.

It's not like he was attending top notch schools. It's possible they all transferred universally. I know UM loses out on a lot of these transfers because they do get invalidated or count as general credits towards nothing but my general experience has been that elsewhere this is not true. Clearly he earned one or he wouldn't have been let in.

Yes, but he went backwards on the schools. If he had started at the junior college and then transferred to the other schools -- it'd make sense to accumulate credits to transfer to a 4 year school. You don't go to Bama and Houston only to transfer to a junior college. Unless Tennessee-Martin is a 4 year school?

As I said though -- I don't care if he has a bachelor degree from Subway University on making sandwiches if he can help the team.

It says it's a "university" so that leads me to believe it's a 4 year university and not a "college".

I'm starting to see the huge benefits of taking this kid. Really a no-risk situation here. Worst case he gets kicked off, best case is you just napped a super talented kid looking to make a name for himself quickly.

That's possible too. I can guarantee though -- if he does the stuff he did at Bama and Houston, skipping class, being late for practices or classes -- he won't last long at UM anyways. So we shall see -- hopefully he realizes this is a last chance for him and he has matured.

Keep up with the thread -- I said that a while ago :)

He is for sure a "michigan man"

So Michigan fans can stop crying about how the school doesn’t allow transfers.

This is the new normal. Nothing makes sense. I give it 3 years before you have players transfering mid-season and getting immediate eligibility.
