I'd be content if the Rockies apologized, as well as the myriad of broadcasters who reported with certainty, a vicious untruth: Luis Severino, Robert Flores, Jessica Blaylock, Bob Nightengale, etc. Zero percent chance any of that happens though. I don’t think any organization will start to use some discretion like I mention until one of them gets heavily raked for jumping the gun. An appropriate apology could help matters in the immediate, but not change the trend.
I doubt it. These people want a full-blown cultural revolution. One person's reputation, a business or even a few peoples' lives, don't matter to them, in the larger scheme.
In a way that is what old Joe McCarthy was pushing….at least that was his marketing. When it gets to a point where most anyone could be the next wrongfully accused it is time for all outside of that misled circle to revolt against the efforts.
