The Yankees are a bigger joke than the Mets right now IMO.

At least you could tell what the Mets were going for, and they made a smart decision to sell at the deadline to help rebuild their farm system.

Yankees have the second highest payroll and their lineup honestly reminds me of one of those Braves rebuild lineups with Freddie Freeman and a bunch of scrubs, and they have one starting pitcher who seems to be doing his annual late season falloff.

How they looked at where they were and what they had and decided to stand pat at the deadline is beyond me.

Funny to read Judge's consternation over "what is the FO doing here" today, after he signed a 9/360 contract. If he really is concerned about the team he would rework the contract to give up $20m/year so they can get some more help around him.
