Frost is coming back in ‘22

*checks schedule*
Excellent. We play Nebraska next year

Back in the day we had this Alabama alum as our coach. At first, everybody was rooting for him. He was beloved. Then he kept losing and losing and losing and we ditched him. Now he's a punchline and a lesson in making it about success on the field vs loyalty to a man. I still feel for the guy, though. It has to suck coming home and failing.

(It also must suck to be an analyst who fails as miserably as the guy did who wrote this story. FU, guy!)

"A newspaper reported..."

:wtf:

:rip: Journalism

Yep, I'm thinking re-working the money is to free up more to pay off the coaches who will be reassigned/let go and for the incoming ones.
Re-working the contract will have little to do with paying off coaches -- it is no different than what UM did with Harbaugh. They paid a ton for him to get him to Nebraska, he is the prodigal son (former all american, won national titles, etc), so the school doesn't want to fire him for winning 15 games in 4 years, so they will cut his pay to try to appease the fan base and add incentives to the contract, where he can earn some of the money back if the team reaches those goals.

LOL. How fast was Sean Callahan typing that to try and get the first tweet out?

"Mondy"
"Parted Way"
also misspelled announces

never heard of him before, but i'm going to assume he's a total HACK

LOL. I missed that one. Most obvious being first too.

I am just happy it's over. Now we know what as fans we should be keeping an eye on lol, instead of HC, we need to be looking at OCs, OLs, QB coaches.

Did anything come out to what exactly "restructured" means? I am hoping that his salary dropped considerably, to like 3mil or so saying hey, we want to spend on big time assistants as well as... fuck you for not winning and constantly telling us 'idk, they looked good in practice' all the fucking time.

Get mean, ride their asses. Fucking Mike Leach went on after the game his kicker missed 3 field goals and said he was taking try outs. Might have hurt the kids feelings, but hey, that's life. He has a job and he needs to do that job or move on.

I hope that "Restructure", like someone said, is helping the assistant coaches pay.
Maybe a ST coach.
I know, that's crazy talk.

Also, with what has gone down, they NEED to win big next year. I am not sure if that means CCG appearance or what exactly, but next years schedule is a lot easier than this years.

**Northwestern (in Ireland)
North Dakota
Georgia Southern
Oklahoma
@Rutgers
Indiana
BYE
@Michigan
Minnesota
BYE
@Wisconsin - wtf? We are at Wisconsin this year. I know they canceled the game last year, but that's BS.
Purdue
Illinois
@Iowa

I think you need a MINIMUM of 8 wins on that season and I am lowballing that in my opinion and I really want to say a minimum of 9.

I think it's catch fire or hit the road.
No more of this incremental shit.
He's in year 5 next season.

If we are anything other than 3-0 heading into a home game against Oklahoma.... he gone. The only questionable losses on that schedule to me are OU, Michigan, and maybe Wisconsin.

And given what I saw this year, those are all very winnable. Hence why I want to say 9 wins is a minimum, but idk.

I think he needs to beat at least one of those 3.
