Any truth to the rumors that Brian Ferentz was named Head Coach in Waiting after today’s offensive performance?

I disagree. Most of them were 3 stars or less as a recruit and will probably be drafted in the NFL. I don't know if they will look better anywhere, as nobody is blaming them for their struggles. Even if they technically gave up all those points against Ohio State, the offense is still to blame.
 
I was at a girls wrestling tournament yesterday and they had the Iowa game on. There were some people that did have this attitude.

No, if anything the offense made them look better. I'm just saying they should be pissed they are a great defense and were wasted

Isn't Nebraska in need for a HC? Iowa has a coach that is ready to branch out and try being a HC. He is offensive minded with OC experience. It is looking like he will make the CCG for the 2nd straight year, unless he messes it up.

This has been the most Iowa team ever. Outgained in 6 of their 11 games this year (three of which they've won). they've had three games in which they had over 300 yards. They've got four defensive touchdowns, 3 blocked field goals and 3 blocked punts. They're 124th in scoring offense (17.5 PPG) and 5th in scoring defense (13.5 PPG). Their offense is averaging 4.3 yards per play, their opponents are averaging 4.0.

They beat Wiscconsin 24-10 in a game that they had 146 yards on 68 plays. 2.1 yards per play. Iowa's two offensive touchdowns were on 18 and 17 yard drives. One of those was set up by a blocked punt, the other set up by a 41-yard punt return. Their other TD was a pick 6. They had a 27 yard drive that resulted in a FG after Wisky turned it over on downs at the Iowa 47.

Iowa won a game 7-3 without any touchdowns.

They held Ohio State to their 2nd lowest yardage, 5.8 yards per play (which is well below OSU's average of 7.4), forced two turnovers, forced three OSU punts, held OSU to four field goals, OSU was 3-13 on third downs (but 3-3 on fourth), held them to 16 first downs (they've averaged 23.9 per game)... and still lost 54-10.

This is one of the weirdest fucking teams I've ever watched. I really do not want to play them a second time even though we beat them this year and blew them out in last year's CCG.
