Stating the sky is blue in Westros based on direct statements in the books is not “book talk”. That is ambiance. Giving historical background to a family (hundreds, thousands of years back) is not spoilery.

Stating that Steve Velaryon is the secret bastard child of Nick Targaryen IS spoilery, and shouldn’t be mentioned here, and it hasn’t.

Just started ep2…

While I love the GoT theme song, I was hoping they would give this show its own theme.
 
Loved the second episode as well. I'm wondering if the princess and defecting brother end up pairing up and getting married. Feel like princess kills her friend who will be pregnant with the dads kid.

I like it actually. It's great opening song. Have every Game of Thrones spinoff use the same song like star wars movies but what they do but just do a different visual version of it per series.

In the episode preview for next week, Aegon is born, so there will be a male heir. Rhaenyra and Alicent will be bitter rivals, I think, but neither will die soon. She may join up with Daemon, though. That kinda makes sense. But I don’t think that will happen until Aegon is old enough to take the throne.

Both daughters make it to adulthood. They have been recast and shown in the previews a lot. And the girl who plays adult Alicent is pretty well known.
 
I am liking it it so far.
To me there is no real heel so far.
They all have their reasonings for what they are doing. All while against each other, still care for one another. I wait to see how many sides there ends up being instead of side A vs. side B.

Of course each individual will be his/her own side within that dynamic, and treaties will develop and fall apart between the 3 big factions throughout the show.

Why would a book thread be a place to post the show previews? There is a TV show thread for the TV show.

Oh and what was up with the maggot treatment on the discolored finger? Wasn’t that the king? A couple scenes later his fingers looked normal.
