TV Series Game of Thrones: House of the Dragon

Oh and what was up with the maggot treatment on the discolored finger? Wasn’t that the king? A couple scenes later his fingers looked normal.
Maggots will actually clean wounds if you're brave enough to give it a try.

Why would a book thread be a place to post the show previews? There is a TV show thread for the TV show.

Previews don't outline that these are characters in a time jump. These are spoilers that are being detailed by a book reader.

The show is doing large jumps of time within each episode as seen by the travel jumps that are occurring similar to late season GoT.

Early Game of Thrones it would take characters several episodes or entire seasons to travel from one place or another. This past episode we had people traveling to and from Kings Landing to Dragonstone several times in the episode.

Yeah you’re right. I’ll give it another watch. Just seems off to me.

If you are referring to me (maybe you aren’t), I am not a book reader. I literally just waited through the credits and watched what HBO put out on their “broadcast”.

And I have not read the books.

Kings Landing and Dragonstone are not that far away…

For what its worth. the time jump with those two characters you're referencing has been literally all over every commercial trailer they've had for the show for the last 6 months.

Nothing at all in the trailers says a time jump has occurred and these are the same character.

Fairly far away for scale. The amount of quick travel that occurred in that episode was reminiscent of the final seasons of Game of Thrones.

Edit: A couple hundred miles in distance.

The back and forth from Kings Landing to The Wall or to Braavos was ridiculous. Both of those locations are so far away, they aren’t even on the map I provided (I should have looked a little harder for one that included all of Westros and the west coast of Essos). KL and Dragonstone are about the distance from NYC to Chicago, MAYBE. Probably more like NYC to DC.

Daemon’s note said he was to be married in two days.

I took that to mean Dragonstone would be within two days sailing of KingsLanding. Say 5-6 mph. Maybe 250 miles or so max. Like sailing from NY to Boston.

No, they are not. The coming time jump has been well telegraphed and just looking at IMDb and seeing characters having two actors highlights this as well.

Also, the preview for next week is part of the show, which we discuss here. It’s fair game.

Enjoyed the second episode possibly even more than the first. Still a lot of set up going on, but there are shapes forming. A lot of political intrigue this week, but the action is surely coming.

The crab people scenes were just sick as well.

Go fuck yourself thinking you're king of declaring what is fair game.
