The thing I have in my pocket every day is a Benchmade 318. Super basic pocket knife:
For my fix bladed knives I basically have 3-4 different Moras. This one is the one I use camping:
I bought a leather sheath for it, keep it razor sharp and haven't found a need to get anything more expensive. I have a similar one made of stainless with a ferro rod built in that I keep in my fishing bag. Another I keep in the house to basically open and take apart packaging. Hard to beat a $20 knife that performs this well. I think you can occasionally find the stainless Companion version for under $10.
