Warning: Yard looked like shit the first year. The kill down makes your grass look spotty. The follow up overseeding and fertilizing is what really pays off.

Fair enough. Will prob consult the neighbors as well. It's an HOA so they a little hard-core on some things

lots of clover in mine right now but the grass looks healthy. Pretty happy with it.

I'm talking WV level yard right now

My central yard(around the house, maybe an acre) has about every weed and grass variety kniwn, including lots of clover violets. Southern portion has 5 large shade trees that I estimate are over 100 years old. Basically, forest floor. Yard style- Midwest farm yard.

my backyard is like that...but that's where the dog hangs out so I don't really do much with it

I had put some thought into trying to keep my lawn grass-only, but until something changes with the house next door, it's not worth the effort. House is a rental, and they don't care (nor should they) what's growing in there, as long as it gets cut enough to avoid complaints from the health department. Not worth really taking the effort myself (or paying someone else to do it) to get rid of "all" the weeds when the surrounding environments are not being treated. Decided to just seed the crap out of some of the bare spots in the back, overseed out front, and keep anything too crazy from growing in the lawn.

@inimical never made the jump. Don't even know if he still shows up at EuroHoop. No posts since last March.
