Have to cancel our Christmas Eve party.

Whatever dude
I'm not trying to be insensitive, and I sincerely apologize if I come off as such, but I implore you to read up on it. Our hospital's protocol is quite literally what is killing Americans. It is unprecedented in its attack on this disease. It is criminal waht has occurred in the last two years,

Oh man, you better believe population control is real. They're obsessed with it.
I’d advocate for buying the uteruses of poor young females before unleashing a bug that gets e’rybody sick. As far as efficiently managing population long term goes anyway.

Saves money across the board.

This thing we’ve got is only really saving MediCare longterm.

But it doesn't get everyone sick.

Gotta cull the herd now and then.

You should know that, teet puller.

So, any one else have to cancel their Christmas Eve party?

Fuck no. We had ribs, bomb shrimp cocktail, bacon siracha wrapped onion rings, and God knows what else. Good fucking times!

It’s somewhat indiscriminate as far as getting people sick. But clearly has a fetish when it comes to killing.

The local hunters annoy me with their “deer management”. It’s not management. They just don’t shoot small ones. Which leaves waaay to many of the fuckers. Who then commit suicide by car in huge numbers. Fuckin running the gauntlet just to get a pack of smokes.

Nope.

FiL smoked a brisket that I got for him. ReOpened the Cantina and the hot tub, burned one with me in the garage and let erybody bring their dogs. I brought wine and tequila

And we got our 5 year old nephew a karaoke machine. Party was loud af.

It's completely treatable early on. Governmental, and subsequently, medical protocol has been a goddamned shame. Absolute barbarism. Hundreds of thousands have died unnecessarily, due to the complete and utter abandonment of doctors practicing medicine.

It was all political bullshit, by fucking lunatics. The vaccine is a crime. Sorry bruh. They held out for money. Period.
What the fuck does any of this have to do with anything I said. Fuck off already with your constant blabbering, as if YOU fucking have all the answers. Stfu

We have our guests over on Christmas Day. Christmas Eve is always just a quiet occasion with my wife and kids. We are fortunate that none of us had to deal with the virus and I hope all of you have a happy and healthy New Years.

Fuckin A, beardown coming in strong with the conspiracy theories surrounding COVID.

Hope your friend comes out ok, Pete. It certainly is no walk in the park for everyone. You can look at the survival rate and maybe feel ok, but each individual is different and will respond differently. It's best to just not take the chance.

my Christmas Eve Eve party I was supposed to go to got cancelled because the hosts both came down with COVID. They are rescheduling for mid January, so that's nice. Our Christmas plans all had to change because my sister is just finishing her first trimester of pregnancy and didn't want to take any risks, so instead of them coming to me for the holiday, I went up there and we had a pretty subdued holiday.

It was still pretty good.

I am hosting NYE for friends...or at least I am supposed to. We will see what the landscape looks like later this week.

The Omicron virus is spreading rapidly but thankfully most folks that get it have mild symptoms. Hospitalizations for the virus are down in this area which is good news.

Yeah, one of the grandsons birthday is Christmas Eve, so we did the main celebration then. Did a brunch so he could go someplace with a friends family in the afternoon.

Just me, wife, MIL and my son for Christmas. Made prime rib, asparagus, twice baked potatoes, salad and Hawaiian rolls.

agree, it's nice that it is a more tame version...but still not a chance I would want to take really. I don't think anyone is a fan of being sick, regardless of the severity

Our family doctor told me that he believes the Covid virus will continue to mutate into weaker strains. We most likely will have to deal with it for years to come.

might be true...and all the while we will find new ways to combat it.

I hope 2022 holidays are a lot more carefree and this isn't something we will be worrying about, but we will see.

if the most dangerous variant is behind us, that would be nice.

Said right. For all of us whose family skips through it and moves on there is some family going through hell with it. I really wish we were at a point we could more clearly assess true risks at this point.

You said you didn’t get sick. That’s been me luckily so far. Well, me and my bio daughters. I’m really thinking blood type has some connections to severity.
Early on in the pandemic blood type was briefly mentioned as a contributing factor for moderate/severe symptom development. IIRC type A was the most hammered type, but the information was sketchy, based on small sample sizes, and incomplete. I have no idea if that line of thought was ever studied rigorously as a factor or if there was really anything to it when the sample sizes were increased. The CDC tracked it in their demographics at one point but I have no idea if they still are.
