Heisman Race

Just watch is all I can say. OU has 3 QBs starting in the NFL this week and this guy is going to be better than all of them. Guaranteed leader in the Heisman race starting the season next year, you can book that. And it’s not just OU fans, he is up to 4th in Vegas on heisman odds.

Only one guy out there with a better QB rating than Caleb Williams right now and he plays for Coastal Carolina.

Nobody is deserving this year.

I would think Matt Carroll is out after last night and the way things are going with injuries Ole Miss probably has at least one more loss if not two. If he had gone out with the injury and brought his team back that would have been a Heisman moment but it didn’t happen.

Riddler isn’t putting up numbers against teams he needs to.

I just see two guys:

Bryce Young - Alabama QB (Yawn)

Kenneth Walker - Dude lit it up yesterday and if he can keep that up and Michigan State keeps rolling I like his chances.

Dark Horse - Sam Hartman - If WF keeps on winning the kid has a shot.

My favorite for the Heisman! Dude lit it up Yo! That cat has skillz....

I think Walker jumped ahead yesterday by... quite a bit.

One of those "Heisman moments" that always gets touted.

LOL@ Caleb Williams. Has started 3 games

OU's weak ass schedule

sure Caleb Williams it is

Let's look at his 4 games so far.

He came off the bench against a rival and performed well. He deserves credit for a solid win there but it was against a team that hadn't prepared for him and absolutely melts late against quality competition. His next start was a solid win but it was an average team that had minimal tape on him. The next week he was very pedestrian in the first half against a historically bad team. He did better in the 2nd half but Heisman candidate's don't have Heisman moments in the 4th quarter against Kansas. They are sitting down watching their backup after torching them for 2+ quarters. His last game was impressive but it was against a team so bad they have an interim coach.

They have a bye and then have 3 games against the 3 biggest defenses in the conference (2 of which are on the road), and they all now have tape on him. If they average 45 a game through those 3 and the CCG it may be ok to get hype. He won't win but the story could be enough to get an invite.

But a true freshman with elite skill position talent beating trash teams after sitting on the bench for half the season. If he plays for any other program in the country no one is having this conversation right now.

Also on that note, Leach had QB's putting up Playstation numbers year after year but they got no Heisman traction because they were "system QB's." Reilly does the same thing at OU and the starter is automatically a Heisman favorite. What's up with that?

The Kansas game might have clinched the Heisman for Caleb.
That's what I was just about to say. Caleb looked like a stud against Kansas. When he wins, they will point to the Kansas game as his heisman moment.

Have you paid attention to the last few nfl drafts? Apparently you have not.

Not saying much. Only one will be a starter a year from now.
