Holy Thursday Thread

We just got back from a family trip and it's awesome to see how much it brings my kids together. Spending time with each other, experiencing things together and looking out for one another.

Big fan of both the mountains and the ocean. Either way, we'll be knocking off at least one MLB stadium to put us over halfway to the finish line.
If you go to SoCal, make that stadium Angels Stadium unless you want to sacrifice one or more of your children to Chavez Ravine.

Raising kids is a serious pain in the ass, but if I had had any idea how much I enjoy it, I'd have started earlier and had more.
I don't know if I'd have more than 3, but raising kids is my great joy and also the most exhausting thing I've ever done. But the good very much outweighs the bad for me.

I have family there, so I have to. If not, I wouldn’t. Except San Diego. San Diego is awesome.
San Diego is probably where we'd go. But if we go LA, we could knock 2 stadiums off the list.

I like Northern Cali, but would be absolutely content if I never went to SoCal again.
We go to Northern California fairly regularly because Mr. Kobe's sister lives in San Fran.

I'd prefer if we go to Denver because I've been to California more than any other place. But I'll also be flying to Denver in September because my niece is getting married in southern Wyoming. Lil' Kobe wants to go to Oregon, but I've already figured out we can't find the type of place we want to stay in at this point. That'll have to be next summer and we need to plan early.

When I lived in Orange County, we’d take a weekend trip down to San Diego and stay at the Hilton Bayfront. It’s across the street from Petco and easy walk to the Gaslamp District.

Ocean Beach area is my favorite area of San Diego.

How many did you end up with?

Steamboat Springs is a really cool place.
I've never been there, but I've been to Colorado a handful of times to ski. I've never been there in the summer time, though.

Convenient if you want to hit up Sea World.
Not particularly interested in that, but the kids would probably like it. We don't usually schedule too many tourist attractions with our kids unless they involve being on the water or ziplining or something.

We hope our youngest will be ready for Colorado skiing in about 3 years. He'll start lessons this upcoming winter.

you make good point

where is the coors brewery?
I've been there before. Can't remember the town, but there's no reason to go there again. Probably some darn good smaller breweries to visit though.
