HooplaNation's Week 9 Rankings - Discussion Thread

I've noticed a discrepancy here. Who has Michigan been tested by, exactly?
I fully admit I'm grasping at straws, trying really hard to give any legitimacy to Ohio State's schedule at all.

You're right, no one. Let's just call it another cakewalk season for Ohio State and hand them a ticket to the playoffs like we always do.

I am laying off Ohio State this week and putting them at #2.

Sure Iowa isn't good but the way they beat Iowa was just impressive. Also, Wisconsin is not looking like that bad of a win now that Wisconsin just beat Purdue this week.

Let's all be honest, Ohio State is a great team. Their schedule sucks but they can't help the fact that half the B1G and Notre Dame all crap the bed this year.

North Carolina A&T would slap around both of those teams

Oregon which is 6-1, ranked in the top 10 and just handed UCLA their first loss.

Posting the worst performance and not mentioning the best is dishonest at best, moronic at worst

Teams tend to either get better or get worse as the season goes on.

At the time, Oregon had a brand new HC, new starting QB and plenty of roster turnover. While playing a road game vs the defending champs and best team in the country.

As for the game itself, it was over before HT. Switch out Oregon with any other team in the country, keep everything else the same, and the result would’ve been the same.

I’m not shitting on Oregon, I’m just wondering why UGA’s sloppy wins were mentioned but not their dominating performances over the best teams they’ve played

Use the Missouri game as way to bring down UGA, but neglect to mention they have a 49-3 win over a current top 10 team seems a bit dishonest to me

You can't be serious. Do we have a new definition for "great" or something?

There aren't any great teams this season. Georgia is the closest we have but Ohio State has faced a bunch of gimmes and quite honestly, they're not "great" on offense or defense. I'd go so far as to see pedestrian.

Look at Kobe in that gif. He looked up and re-read that statement and LOL'ed again, but not half as hard as me.

"great"

lol
