Hot Seat…who’s the hottest?

Yep. A lot of difference in playing to win and playing to keep from losing.

I ABHOR "prevent defenses".....and offenses that start cowering after they get a lead.
"Paging Lincoln Riley. Mr. Riley please pick up the white courtesy phone. Mr. Deep Creek is attempting to reach you."

Funny how they were a great OOC opponent for Alabama. After Alabama dismantled them it was because Bama would do that to anyone, Miami is still a really good team. But a loss to Michigan State and they become a train wreck. I mean, you have to be a train wreck to lose to MSU, but funny how the narrative changes so quickly.
It’s not that they lost to MSU, it’s how bad they lost to MSU, and they were very lucky they didn’t lose to App State. App State had every chance in the world to win that game but pissed it away

Anyone can lose on any given Saturday. to repeatedly lose on Saturdays and squeak by when you do win...shows you are a clown show team.

Sparty is calling it a milestone win in the Mel Tucker era........

Nebby about to go into East Lansing and blow them the fuck away..
Please let me know who is saying that. Our win over the B1G West champion last season was a much better win.

That's good for you though. You want them to be propped up as much as possible so it goes down as a quality win :suds:

I’ve never heard of Sabin before but they should be banned from writing articles for the rest of the season if they think this was a quality win. This is worse than the “Walker could win the Heisman” article after week one. It’s the best win of the season but it’s not saying much.

May need to wait til after the conference season plays out to judge Miami & Diaz tho TBH.
They are what they are now (Mediocre at best) as a program, their heyday as a program was a long time ago now.
The BIG seems to be up this year and Alabama is Alabama and Appy State ain’t exactly cottage cheese, that program knows how to win ballgames. They may wind up being a decent team that fell victim to a tough early season schedule when it’s all said n done.

FSU is in a tailspin but like @Wild Turkey mentioned I’m not sure they can afford to make a move, they may just need to grin and bear it for a few years and hope for the best.
If they CAN afford it… Hugh Freeze might fit in very well there.

He ain't the only one. Watching last night's NFL game. Ravens score to go ahead. Give Mahomes the ball back and play their "prevent us from winning" defense. Chiefs get in field goal range in 3-4 pass plays. They have the Ravens on the run and decide to give it to a rookie RB on a running play to run some clock.. He fumbles. Both examples of "turtleing" IMHO.

People keep bringing up Hugh Freeze but I don’t think the guy is 100% healthy. He has had some issues since leaving Ole Miss and I don’t know if he can handle a P5 program anymore. It takes a lot.

did you watch them play Bama? They were a train wreck against Bama

On Big Red Overreaction, both hosts broke out LISTS of Frosts replacement.

To me, I hope they go all out on Fickell if they do fire Frost. Fickell has never left the state of Ohio, so I just don't think it'll happen, but who knows.

Call Matt Campbell. He’d be a solid hire

They both mentioned him too, but this year has me a little worried lol, this was supposed to be a big year for ISU on an overall down Big12 and if anything, ISU has added to the Big12 being down. Oklahoma and Baylor appear to be the only decent squads and they both have looked very beatable.

Yeah I’m surprised how they’ve been. Watching them today they got no push on the dline so our QB had a ton of time and picked their secondary apart. It’s shocking because last year he spent most of the game on his back and it’s virtually the same ISU team.

I’d say he (Campbell) is better with no expectations. Which I can understand the hesitancy to being ok with that. But the dude is a fantastic coach.
