Yep. A lot of difference in playing to win and playing to keep from losing.

I ABHOR "prevent defenses".....and offenses that start cowering after they get a lead.

Almost cost Notre Dame their game. Got up and went way to conservative on defense with only 3 men on the D line.

Todd Helton has entered the discussion.

Day buying some asbestos undies as we speak.

Good catch, *Clay Helton

Side note the Rockies had some good hitters in the 90’s. I’m shocked they only made the playoffs maybe twice til that one run in the 2007.
Rockies problem is they're never gonna be able to sign any good pitchers and any that come through their system are gonna leave as soon as they can.

The Mariners had to be the most disappointing team of the 90's.

Only a couple playoff appearances, only one CS appearance.

That offense was absolutely loaded.

Truth, pitching wins it always. Still I looked it up and the Rockies only the made the playoffs once from 1993 until 2007.

I’d argue the Mariners while better weren’t the most disappointing they still made the playoffs 4 times in a 7 year span. 3 of those times they made it to the ALCS. But yes 2 of those were 2000 and 2001. They should have won it all in 2001, they were the best team in baseball.

Sark is 0-19 when trailing at half.

Yeah they’re a train wreck
Funny how they were a great OOC opponent for Alabama. After Alabama dismantled them it was because Bama would do that to anyone, Miami is still a really good team. But a loss to Michigan State and they become a train wreck. I mean, you have to be a train wreck to lose to MSU, but funny how the narrative changes so quickly.

Can FSU fire Norvell at this point? I’m not sure they can afford it and if they could would anyone take it?

It would have to be a 10 year contract at about 6mm to get anyone decent to look at it.

I don’t think anyone is in worse shape than FSU at this point.
