I actually like Dusty Baker, I’d like to see him finally get a ring, but doesn’t look like it’s gonna happen
Full marks to Dusty, he was basically brought in just to get people to stop talking about the trash can stuff.
I don't think they were expecting him to keep them this high up for this long.

He's an outstanding manager in the regular season, just can't get over the hump in post season. He has also been given some incredible rosters over the years, which I'm sure plays a part in his gaudy overall record.
I like Dusty, but although he does well with talented teams, when it comes crunch time, he always gets out managed.

I had to laugh at an article that described him as a legendary manager and then pointed out how poorly he was doing.
Yeah. I like Dusty too, and would be fine seeing him win one, just not this year.
But, this is the read I always have seen, he can take a talented roster and guide them well through the season, but when he’s forced to make tough decisions he’s never really done well.
I hope that lasts the rest of this season.
