Man some real Nebraska homerism in this thread. You cannot fix homerism I supposed.

It is laughable to think that any teams from the 1990s or early 2000s could compete at a high level in modern CFB. Only homerism would say otherwise.

I think 1995 Nebraska would look a lot like these Wisconsin teams. Probably pump out an 11-2 record but get killed in playoffs by Alabama or Clemson.

If Michigan had a University and Football Team in 1783, we would have been National Champions (if we were part of the nation), because I said so. The evidence is in plain sight.

That's the thing. 97 Nebraska was not a great team. They were good enough to be champions, but that doesn't make them great, but that is semantics on how I am viewing 'great'. And given that 97 Nebraska and 01 Miami are comparable on many things including stats, I think it is fair and justifiable to say neither were great, both were good.

I'm not lying though, you just don't like the explanation because you want to be right about my words. I am telling you that you are wrong about them and you can't take that. Again, that is a personal problem for you ralphie.

I disagree here too. I’ll happily call 97 Nebraska great, I don’t think they beat 01 Miami at all but that was still a great team and obviously I think they crush 97 Michigan.

There’s no logical way for you to explain your words meant 50/50. None, you know this but refuse to admit this. Obviously you think NU has a shot, but saying I doubt Miami wins AT ALL isn’t a 50/50 split no matter how much you try and delusional you argue this.

A lowly ranked team is a lower ranked team. Nebraska struggled with two rival road games, but dominated 2 top ten opponents and every other ranked team they played. Miami struggled against two teams that finished ranked (worded that way because BC wasn't ranked at the time of the game, so you can see I am giving credit) and dominated 1 top ten opponent. Do you think it is more impressive to play 2 teams that finished ranked somewhere between 14-25 or 1 team that finished ranked inside the top 10?

Winning is a zero-sum action. You either win or you don't. If I doubt that you will win at all, doubt infers that uncertainty, meaning that Idk... hence it could go 50/50 or either way. Doubting at all, does not mean Miami would not win at all, because then there would be no use for the word doubt.

I am done trying to explain this. That was the last time that I try a different way of explaining it. If you disagree or don't like it, whatever.

The stats speak for themselves. We have only been talking about 97 Nebraska. Try to make an argument for 01 Miami being better than 95 or 71 Nebraska without mentioning draft picks. Any argument would be absurd and stupid, because those teams statistically blow them out of the water. Miamis defense (which was good, but not even close to the best ever) is not enough to claim superiority over everything those teams did.
