It's interesting they leave the Romans in subtitles.

If anyone is familiar with the Battle of Teutoberg it's a close enough adaptation. Obviously played up for tv

I was on that page but Money Heist changed my bias on that. Seems like foreign studios do a better job with it than in years past.

This is a pretty decent budget show too.

I saw the trailer and thought it looked interesting. I'd prefer voiceovers to subtitles.

shit, i thought you were talking about money plane for a second. that wouldn't have made sense for a number of reasons.

as to dubbed programming, i can only hang in for 3 minutes before i'm annoyed with it. if subtitles, original language is available that's my go to. only exception is if it's animated for obvious reasons.

It's not on hbo so they don't feel an absolute need to interject a gay character for absolutely no reason.

To be fair as long as the gay character doesn't seemed forced I take no issue. Just seen more than a few shows of late where it feels like "we gotta make one of em gay" so we check all the boxes.

I guess with how far they travelled it was any port in a storm. Plus ground beef was several centuries away
