How Many People Do You Know Personally Who Have Been Diagnosed with Covid?

(confirmed cases)

Casualties
1) My wife's grandmother in late March. Michigan nursing home casualty. She was a stubborn & sassy woman who refused treatments.
2) My 88 year old grandmother passed away September 23. She's going to qualify in this statistic, but COVID was really just the final nail in the coffin. She was in and out of the hospital for months experiencing kidney and heart failures. She kept flipping off the grim reaper until he played his COVID card.

Non-Casualties
4,5,6) Three co-workers caught it at an Independence Day party. Two actually got sick, one was barely affected.
7) A cousin who works in a healthcare facility; mild symptoms.
8) My 88-year-old grandfather and husband of my recently-deceased grandmother also tested positive. He was completely asymptomatic. Really sucked hard too, because not only did he just lose his wife, but he had to quarantine himself. No one could be around him for physical or emotional support.
9) An aunt also tested positive and was in quarantine when my grandmother died.

My cousin and his wife had it
My buddy, his dad and his uncle had it
One coworker currently has it

Coworker has mild symptoms, the others have fully recovered
My buddy’s uncle was definitely hit the hardest of the bunch. He had to spend a couple days in the hospital and take breathing treatments for about a month. He’s in his late 50’s, not the perfect picture of health, but not really in bad shape either.

Can Covid 19 be spread thru sexual intercourse?

My brother in law has it now. Struggling with vertigo, loss of taste, lung issues.
Co-worker had it. In hospital 9 days back in April.

All younger than I. I am late 50's.

What about #3?

So
Do we have a total yet?
Yes.

Legit, confirmed cases total zero.

Unconfirmed anecdotal cases number in the millions, possibly hundreds of millions.

2. One 44yo one 49yo.

44 yo, no prexisting, 6 weeks on a vent, probably going to have 50% of his lung capacity for life, and never be the same.

49yo, no prexisting, no vent, but close. Has been out of the hospital for about a month, and still fighting some lingering pneumonia type symptoms, and on oxygen.

6 weeks on a vent? Lucky to be alive

Too young man

I don't have an exact count of those that truly had it as ohio didn't test many in the early days. I'd guess a dozen to 20 or so.

My step dad's neighbor passed from it. 62. I know of a few that passed friend of a friend stuff but not anyone else personally.

One, 40 year old male, good shape.
Said his muscles hurt like hell and had a fever of 102 for about four days then started feeling better. He's fully recovered now.

I honestly do not know anyone personally who has tested positive

Wow, Nationally the survival rate is 98-99%, but for your friend group it's 57%. Either you're bad luck, or MA healthcare system sucks ass
